Lost item, Reported to seller, No refund
Summary: warhawk8264 described purchasing multiple items via auction, with one item missing despite being marked delivered. After weeks of communication with the seller, who initially appeared helpful, they were unable to resolve the issue, and now cannot receive a refund or assistance from eBay. bonanza125 and kathiec advised that the seller and eBay are not responsible since the item was marked delivered, suggesting a dispute with the payment provider as the next step. kathiec also emphasized the importance of adhering to eBay's claim deadlines.
Short version: I made a purchase via auction - multiple items. All the items were reported as delivered. I missed seeing that one of the items was missing, discovered it 2 weeks later. I realized the item was missing although it was reported as delivered with the other items. I contacted the seller and we went back and forth - seller seemed helpful enough, asking for pics of the items delivered, checking inventory on their end, issuing a FedEx inquiry, etc. All of that taking several weeks and landing me outside of the "report item not delivered" window. Now the seller won't give me a refund and EBAY IS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. Any recommendations? It was a $95 golf club, so it's not chump change gone missing...

·2 weeks agoYou could have opened a 'missing parts or pieces' return within 30 days of the package arrival. You chose not to do that. Once that 30 day period has passed eBay will do nothing for you. Your only remedy now is a dispute with your payment provider.
You should also take this as a lesson that, no matter how helpful it seems a seller is, you should always stay aware of eBay's deadlines to open Money Back Guarantee cases.

·2 weeks agoOnce tracking states delivered Ebay and the seller no longer are responsible for your issue. Even if you reported it "Item not received" you would've lost anyway because Ebay goes by tracking. The seller is not obligated to give you a refund. Your next course of action is to contact your payment source. If they can't do anything then you are out the money.
