Hello jamejudg-3. As the others have stated do the little heart thing.
Most of the items I buy on Ebay aren't listed on my first search. Eventually if I'm patient enough what I'm looking for usually gets listed and I get a notice via Email.
If I know the maker/brand of the object that helps me do a search and save it. Sometimes I get alerts to those makers/brands of other items they produced that I wasn't even aware of and am pleasantly surprised.
The trick is to figure out the origional search words so as to get the results I want plus maybe the surprises I previously alluded to in my saved search.
eBay once had a section called want it now where you could place ads looking for items. It did not work and just got you spammed with items having nothing to do with what you were looking for.
Just have to keep looking. eBay has never let me down.

·1 year ago@jamejudg-3 On eBay use the search tool and select the "heart", just below the results to save your search. You'll get an email if one is listed.
