left negative feedback had it taken off want to leave good feedback how?
I left bad negative feedback but found out it wasn't sellers fault he sent item but fedex was the one that messed up So ebay took negative off but now I can't leave positive feedback how can I leave poitive? feedback?

·3 years agoSometimes the thank you card is sent to register shipment by a seller who's dropshipping. That way they don't get dinged by eBay for not meeting their handling time, since they have no control over the dropshipper. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but most of the time it works out. I think you inadvertently achieved what I would have done in this case, which is leave no feedback.

·3 years agoThanks for posting that info. In this situation it makes more sense than the "scam" path that I was pushing. That could also account for the 3 revisions. Buyers actually happy rather than tricked into "revising and then a replacement will ship' line of thought.
It makes me wonder why I am not smart enough to sell like this seller, but I guess my post already demonstrate why 🙂

·3 years agoSuggestion: Next time, maybe wait awhile and check into the situation first before leaving negative FB. eBay gives you 60 days to leave feedback.
If the seller got eBay to delete the FB you left, then it's just gone. Ordinarily, if you jump in quickly BEFORE the seller gets your FB removed, you can ask the seller to send you a Feedback Revision Request. Might want to keep that in mind for the future also.

OP3 years agoI did but I don't think he understands the feedback revision but he emailed me & said everything is fine I just feel bad .Neither he or me knew what happened He sent midwest cage June 3 & fedex did not notify me till June 12 that address was torn & they couldn't read address then it still was at fedex & thursday June15 they returned to were he got it from. He figure after all that time at fedex it may have gotten damaged but didn;t tell me that he resent an nother one.

·3 years agoI think your seller may understands "feedback revision" just fine. Seller has possibly used 3 of the allotted 5 per year "requests" in under 90 days.
Glad that it worked out well for you, but what happened had all the signs of a "tracking # scam". Feedback shows 3 such issues in less than 90 days.

·3 years agoI think it's a seller with 4 negs and 4 neutrals in just the last 30 days. There were complaints about envelopes with a "thank you" but items not sent and other complaints about missing or NAD items.

The kathiec explanation is quite plausible to cover the "thank you card" feedbacks as well as the 3 revisions.

OP3 years agoI'm not sure I found out he is in china even the po was surprised when I told them it was suppose to be a midwest cage but I got the cage 4 days later

·3 years agoSeems that your seller may have done this "thank you card" with tracking in the past. It happens with some sellers domestically as well as with sellers like yours from China. The posted results here on the boards generally differ from your experience, as very high %age of the time the "thank you" is all that arrives.

·3 years agoYou have one chance to leave feedback, which is why you should be sure that what you're leaving is what you want to say.
If eBay removed your negative feedback for a seller you can't give that seller anymore.
If the seller sent you a feedback revision you would've been able to change your feedback.

OP3 years agoThank you It was fedex that had it for about 2weeeks & found out even he did not know that.He sent a thank you card with tracking number & product through fed ex.Only gave ebay tracking number for card So ebay took his word that I received product Po thought he scammed me

·3 years agoWhy on earth would a seller send a thank you card with a tracking # via FedEx, and provide only that # for the eBay sale?
Something does not ring true about the whole deal.
