Lack of support from eBay
Summary: The discussion is about the lack of support provided by a company, specifically eBay. Multiple participants, including lynda1353, have engaged in the conversation, though no further details or individual experiences are provided in the content.
I recently purchased an item on May 16, 2026. The shipping costs were already high but now with the time since my purchase, the item has NOT even been mailed. I contacted eBay for help and all I get is to wait six (6) more days for the item to arrive. I placed a cancel request after three days of the item not being mailed and the seller ignored it and eBay would not enforce it. Told me the item had been shipped, but no shipment has been made 3 days later. The seller is [Removed by moderator]. Stay away from this seller.

As the others have written, you cannot file a dispute for item not received until the day after the last estimated delivery date. You can find that date in your Order details.
eBay does not require sellers to ship items with tracking, and if the seller is an inexperienced one they may have taken the item to a P.O. or shipper's store, to ship the item with tracking, but they do not know how to add the tracking number to the listing.
While you are waiting to be able to file the Item Not Received dispute, you may want to read the terms and time frames for using the Money Back Guarantee (MBG). You can find a link to the policy on the listing you bought from, in the right hand column under the accepted payment icons. Click on the Learn more button under Shop with confidence header.

·4 months agoAs has been opined read the "Money Back Guarantee" so you know what to do in the future.
That being said I paid a seller for two separate orders and he never sent them nor cancelled the order. Nothing, like he fell off the face of the earth (maybe he passed away?).
Anyway I filed "Item Not Received" at the appropriate time and got a full refund.
After the last estimated delivery date file.....................

·4 months agoYou have to wait those 6 more days until you can file an item not received case. Correct Ebay doesn't enforce cancellation requests only sellers can which your seller isn't going to do. To say "Stay away from this seller" is meaningless here. The seller is a random seller you purchased from. Doubt anyone would have dealt with them anyway. You can't name shame here.

·4 months agoWhat was the sellers handling time?
Until a day after the last estimated delivery date, there's nothing to do.

How do you know the items hasnt been mailed?
Sellers are not required to ship with tracking.
HAs the seller told you that they didnt ship?
Asking to cancel after 3 days - the seller may not be able to do this depending on where in the process your order is.
Requesting to cancel is just that a request.
You purchased on a Saturday. Saturday and Sunday are not business days.
How many days does the seller have for processing?
Lets say 2 days. Then the seller doesnt have to ship until Wednesday. This is Friday.
All you should be concerned with is the "estimated" delivery date.
1 day past that estimated date you can file an item not received.
Sometimes having a little patience helps.

·1 week ago99% ship with tracking and therefore lies the problem with Ebay's INR policy and why there's a rise in scammers on this platform.
