KitchenAid - Reviews vs Rating
Summary: blb0776 expressed frustration with a seller on eBay, questioning their high positive rating despite experiencing poor customer service and non-responsiveness. They indicated that negative feedback wasn't visible and suspected automated feedback boosts ratings falsely. pickapaper explained eBay's feedback and refund processes, clarifying that automated feedback is standard if buyers don't leave feedback. Other participants confirmed blb0776's negative feedback is indeed visible and provided additional context on how eBay handles seller ratings. Concerns about eBay's prioritization of fee collection over addressing issues were also raised.
How can their be 99.5% positive rating when so many have complained about their absolute poor customer service and lack of response? I posted a true and accurate NEGATIVE response and it does not show up. Further more it looks like "Order delivered on time with no issues" has been entered multiple times as a way to boost their rating. It is the absolute worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered. They take your payment and never respond. eBay should be ashamed for letting them continue to conduct business in such a poor and unprofessional manner. I could not get a response so I had to contact my banking institution to get help. NO HELP CAME FROM eBay. My days purchasing on eBay are over.

Collecting fees is the priority. Daily reports of "Wrongdoing" are usually met with
YOU, the buyer didn't do something right, or the bots see no policy violations.
Oh, it's "only" .05% of sales that resulted in negative feedback...
Kill once to become a killer or lie once to become a liar, on and on.
Complaints don't get in the way of eBay fee payers.

"How can their be 99.5% positive rating when so many have complained about their absolute poor customer service and lack of response?"
It is because of the number of sales the seller had made that they received feedback for. Only .05% of their sales resulted in negative feedback. Neutral feedback do not count against their percentage, though by clicking on the numbers of them, to read only those comments, you may find that a good number of them should have been negatives. A much lower volume seller could have a much lower percentage for just one negative.
A Rule of thumb, is not to purchase from high volume sellers who have a feedback percentage of 98.6% or less.
No matter what a sellers feedback percentage is you should always check their feedback profile page. Open the link below and read the reply by mudshark61369 to learn how to access a seller's profile page. There's an example feedback box in that one that really demonstrates how total sales vs. feedback affects a seller's percentage.

Your neg is indeed there. It reads "Product never received. Seller will not respond to emails over multiple days. Had to turn over to credit card companies for support and resolution." As for the automated feedback, that happens when a buyer hasn't left any feedback seven days after tracking shows delivery.

·1 week ago · EditedWhen you do not receive an item and it is one day past the estimated delivery date, you go into your purchase history and find the item and click on "I have not received the item". The seller will then have to either respond with a tracking number or show proof the item was delivered. If they do not do this, you can go back into the claim and ask eBay to step in and they will force a refund.
You do not have to contact a seller. Many sellers do not answer messages; it is not required. Everything is automated on eBay and if you just follow procedure, you should have no problems. It is all explained in eBay's Money Back Guarantee.
eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
The negative you left for the seller is there. No problem there.
The "Order delivered on time with no issues" feedback is automated feedback that eBay leaves for all sellers when buyers do not leave feedback after a period of time.
Sorry to hear your days with eBay are over. But it really doesn't need to be that way. All you have to do is arm yourself with a little knowledge about how to take care of things when there is an issue.

OP1 week agoSeems like "Order delivered on time with no issues - feedback is automated feedback that eBay leaves for all sellers when buyers do not leave feedback after a period of time" would artificially inflate their rating therefore misleading people. Just my 2 cents....

·1 week agoeBay leaves that automated feedback for all sellers after a certain period but a buyer can override that feedback if they want and leave a feedback more to their liking.
On those problems you had on your account, you also need to go in to the item and "report the seller". If sellers get enough of these reports, eBay does sit up and take notice.
