item received not the described and shown in picture
hi, i bought a vest from japan but the seller purposefully sent me a different vest i think.
here is the item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/306674083827
and some picture of the actual product i have received:
do i need to pay the return fee?, then get my money back from the receipt.
i ask him to send me a return ticket with no answer at the moment.
the seller is wasting my time and i would rather not deal with this as he knowingly tried to trick me into keeping it i think.
thanks for you time

Given the seller's location, he can't just send you a prepaid return label, but will have to send you the funds to pay for shipping the return back to him.

Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

It looks like we cross posted and you should read what I posted in my reply. This may not be a simple MBG issue.

What you need to do is read the terms of ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) there are instructions in the article explaining what you have to do to get a refund. (open the link below)

I suggest saving/bookmarking the link for posssible future use.

According to your profile you are located in France, and while the MBG terms for buyer's in your country are pretty much the same as they are here in the U.S. (You have posted on the U.S. based site's community ebay.com) , how you handle the return shipping and deal with VAT taxes is not something we can help you with, unless your current location is in the U.S.
If you are in France then you should post about this issue on ebay's France based community:
If you had the item shipped to a freight forwarding location in the U.S. for forwarding to France then getting a refund will be very complicated.
Because this is an international transaction, you will need to get a return shipping estimate from the shipper who delivered the item to your door. Put it back in the box it was sent in and take it to a P.O. or the shipping agencies store/office. Use the return address on the package's label to get a return shipping cost estimate in writing if possible, then send the seller a message with the return shipping cost.
However, if you had the item sent from Japan to the U.S. and forwarded to France, the seller is only obligated to pay the return shipping cost from Japan to the U.S. address they sent the item to.
You had better give us more details of this transaction, so we know what issues you have to deal with.

However, since this is an international sale, it may be a bit more complicated than that.
