Item not shipped Contact not allowed?
Hello there I had an item in my watchlist and the seller sent me an offer so I accepted and sent payment on 01-18-25 it is now 01-24-25 and the item in my purchase history says awaiting shipment I have tried to reach out to seller to see what the hold up is on shipping but apparently Ebay won't let me message the seller.
I have tried every method to reach the seller under my Ebay but for some reason when i click contact seller it just gives me 4 standard Ebay options that basically take me to an FAQ is there a reason I am not allowed to contact the seller? Am I getting scammed? I just don't understand why it would take this long to ship an item.

When is the item due to be delivered? The last estimated delivery date is in your Order details, if it has not passed yet there's nothing you can do through ebay until it has passed.
Are you not able to send messages or is the issue that the seller is not responding to them? On every listing page just under the seller's username you will see:
Clicking on the Contact seller opens a popup that has a send message box, Just start typing in the box and send message disappears.
If you have sent messages and the seller has not responded, there could be a couple of reasons for that. A common one is the seller is new to selling or has not sold anything on over a year, in which case they may not know about the 21-30 day hold ebay places on all new/returning seller's payments. On their account, the payment status shows Processing or Pending, so they do not ship thinking that they haven't received the funds yet.
If you haven't done so yet, try checking the seller's feedback profile to see if they have any feedback for selling or haven't received any in over a year.
You can click on the seller's feedback percentage in the first screen shot above. That opens a pop up that shows several comments and under them is a See all feedback button, click on it. on the page that opens you will see;
Click on Switch back to classic view, to see the box with the various types of feedback a seller can receive, if all of their feedback is from sellers or it has been over a year since they received feedback from a buyer. Try messaging the seller and tell them if they have not shipped your item yet because of the Pending/Processing payment status to do a Google search for;
" Payments on hold, ebay ". If they do that they will get the info needed to ship your item and get the funds released.

At the bottom of the screen with the options you should see a box that says "Still have questions?" with a Contact Seller link.
Sellers are allowed to have a handling time of one day to 30 days. Since Monday was a US holiday it's only been four business days since your purchase. So it's far too early to start worrying about being scammed. While you're waiting for your purchase to be shipped you might want to read up on eBay's Money Back Guarantee. It will tell you what to do in the unlikely event the transaction goes south.

·8 months agoIt could be shipped and the shipper has not scanned it yet. Not uncommon for items to only be scanned at delivery. Some never get scanned. Just wait one day past the last given delivery date. If it's not arrived by then, click the I did not receive it button.
It's far too soon to worry yet. The weather is making all deliveries run very slow.
