Item Not Received (INR) Problem

Hi all,

I want to alert you to a problem that you may encounter with INR.

I did not receive the item that I paid for.

The Post Office (PO) indicates that the item was delivered.

I went to the PO that delivered the item.

The PO employee told me that the item was delivered to an address in my zip code area, but not to my home address.

Due to their privacy policy, they would not tell me where the item was delivered.

I told the seller about this - No response.

eBay just closed the case.

eBay ignored me.

If this is still within eBayâ€™s 30 day money back guarantee, I would try opening a case for â€˜not as describedâ€™ or â€˜missing parts or piecesâ€™.
These sellers are counting on you to open the item not received. They know once they prove delivery to the correct zip code, eBay will close in their favor.

If they send a return shipping label, you can attach it to a box and ship it off.
If they donâ€™t send a label, you can ask eBay to step in on the 4th day and eBay will force the refund.

If you paid with PayPal or a credit card, you can ask them if your purchase is protected in this situation. Be sure to name it. It is the â€˜fake tracking scamâ€™!

It just happened to me, but hear this, I received the last 20 packages this year alone, and this particular seller who lives close to the area did not wanted to help by filing a claim, ebay said item was delivered and close the case, I appeal the case and again they close the case just like that, furthermore, the feedback left is not even showing on the sellers page, something odd is going on here, Ebay money back policy does not even exist if the package tracking states delivered, this one opens a door for bad sellers to ship whatever items or do not ship them and once is supposedly delivered Ebay avoids responsibility

Is your problem still unresolved I'm going through the same exact thing today post office says it's delivered but what happened was they wrote something after my address and they can't tell me what they wrote it was delivered but not here and the seller has not responded to nothing I thought eBay was safe

This is where your state's attorney general is a handy tool. Ebay doesn't like dealing with AGs because any state can shut them down. File a complaint with your state attorney general and in detail. I had a Seller in Florida try not refunding me for a returned item (at my expense) and I used their RMA code. I contacted Ebay but they did basically nothing so I decide to file a complaint with the Florida AG Office for Consumer Affairs. Within 5 days I had a forced refund from Ebay because the AG Office warned them they would be held responsible for FRAUD if the issue wasn't resolved. Be careful of Sellers who sell high value items like barbeque grill units then ship it "Standard Shipping" WITHOUT TRACKING. I'm dealing with one such Seller as I write who did just that.

You got hit with a Tracking Scam. Whenever there is something hidden or inaccessible (addresses) to one of the parties in a transaction, it opens it up to cheats and scammers. In this case the tracking addresses are inaccessible to you and maybe EBay, too. (Seller/scammer just needs to paste it in from outside EBay.)

Since EBay is making judgments without all information, you can point this out to your credit card company when you do your chargeback. Hopefully you paid with a card that insures purchases. And when enough chargebacks make a dent in things, perhaps credit card companies and therefore EBay will take note.

This keeps happening and itâ€™s getting worse. The scam has become more evolved. Next time it happens to me again Iâ€™ll go right to my credit card. The fact that the sellers who ripped me off are still active on eBay sans the negative feedback I left is absolutely disgusting.

Oh, and eBay censored my feedback comments, so the seller will be able to rip off another victim.

BTW: Comment contained nothing vulgar, only what happened and how the seller failed to take action and never responded.

Did the seller have 'great feedbacks'?

Did the seller have any feedbacks and was it a new seller or a old seller?

Was the seller in 'feedbacks' eBay ID country listed in the USA?

Was the price too good to be true?

Well, I have bought on eBay many times. I am glad that this happened on a low-priced item and not an expensive one. I think Amazon may little easier to deal with.

Happens all the time.

Get the post office to give you something in writing

Use that when you appeal to ebay

The reason cases are closed for 'not received' is because the only thing used for tracking is the zip code (that's a USPS, UPS, Fedex thing).

Since it shows 'delivered', it stops buyers that just SAY they 'didn't get it' and forcing refunds from the seller.

Bad guys figured this out and use it to their advantage.
