Item not received even though tracking says it was delivered
Item I purchased was not delivered to me even though tracking says it was. The claim I turned in to Ebay was denied due to seller furnishing documentation saying it was delivered to my address. I have appealed the decision and am asking if the driver has a picture of the item on the porch where it was delivered and told Ebay I would welcome a comparison. Also since they denied my initial claim I looked at my Ring camera and there is not any recording of the delivery on the day tracking says which was at 8:47 pm. I have never received a shipment that late from a carrier. I'm at the point I don't care about the dollars involved. I'd like to know what happened to the item I ordered which was identifiable as automotive trim in a large package. A very marketable item for an F-150.

Since eBay has absolutely no idea of what your house looks like how would a comparison help?
You need to follow up with the carrier to find out 1) where GPS indicates the package was delivered and 2) whether the package was addressed to your address. That information is absolutely necessary to a successful appeal. Forget about getting photo evidence, as eBay won't accept it.

·1 year ago3rd party Phone center reps are not allowed to go online to do those things.
This is a very important point and another reason why the eBay reps assigned to social media are more useful than being able to rant to a poor soul on the telephone somewhere in Utah.

·1 year agoDid you contact the carrier? I would think FedEx, UPS, and USPS have GPS locations recorded when they scan an item as delivered. It could have simply been delivered to the wrong address. I don't believe eBay will do anything about if the seller gave a tracking number that shows a delivery scan.
Somethings you would want to ask the carrier would be, where was the package scanned as delivered (GPS), was the address on the package yours and look at the tracking to make sure the zip code it was delivered to is yours if it shows on the tracking.
I'm sorry you didn't get your item, I know it can be very frustrating, but I would contact the carrier and see what I can find out since they are the ones that actually handled the package. Best of luck to you.

·1 year agoYou really don't want to talk to a minimum wage worker for a subcontractor in Utah or the Philippines.
The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.
Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
A further advantage is that you have time to explain your exact problem, without unnecessary detail. And the eBay rep has time to consider their answer or even do some research between posts to the Chat.
