Item not received
I purchased two 40lb kettlebells. One showed up damaged. The seller and I agreed they would send me a $20 refund for the damage. Then because they have the receipt they can file a claim with USPS. I tried First I can't I am the buyer with no receipt. Now it's over 6 weeks and the other kettlebell has not shown up. I filed a missing mail report with the USPS and they are still working on it. Now comes the bad part. The seller only uploaded one set of tracking numbers after I purchased the set of two. Because of that eBay only sees the one set of numbers. That set is for the one that showed up. When I asked the seller how come you only uploaded one set of tracking numbers and not two> They said they didn't know how. They gave me the second set of numbers through messages.I told them to go to the eBay help center to get help with that. They didn't. Then when finally jumped through flaming hoops I finally got to talk to an eBay rep on the phone. I told them everything you just read. They kept telling me to follow the steps in the return section. Thats nuts!! I'm out $82.50 for half my purchase that never showed up. The seller is ignoring me. And I can't go through to eBay they sent a message saying the case is closed because I didn't return the item!! How can I return something I never got?? I'm not a seller here, but I am a longtime buyer with a positive score of over 2600. Never got negative feedback nor did I give one. I'm thinking of closing my account because I'm old and can't afford this kind of loss.

·2 years agoWhat kind of damage did the 40lb kettlebell have? Those are made rather well unless you purchased one of the plastic covered ones.

doc-holmes is right, you filed the wrong type of dispute, You did receive something, a damaged piece, and the order was short by 1 piece. If you ordered a quantity of 2 of the items your order was short one piece, so Not As described - Missing parts and pieces is the dispute you should have filed.
The USPS claim you have filed will not return any results, because the tracking number for the 2 items was the same one, and it was delivered. If you had told the USPS rep the package should have weighed at least 80 lbs. They would have told you there should have been 2 tracking numbers, because their services have a weight limit of 70lbs.
Because you of the time you let pass trying to get resolution, you've let ebay's money back guarantee (MBG) time frame pass. If you paid with a credit card you may be able to file for a charge back through your provider, depending on how their purchase protection time frame is. Do make sure to tell them:
1) You ordered two of the items, but received one tracking number when 2 should have been provided because of the USPS weight limit of 70lbs, per package.
2) The one item you received was damaged.
3) the seller only offered you a $20 partial refund, which they never sent.
FYI, the seller's response to the damage claim was inappropriate. If the package was sent ground advantage it was insured for up to $100, and to get a refund from the USPS, they should have told you to hold on to the package for possible pickup from the USPS, and/or to send photos of the item and the package, for them to inspect for proof of shipping damage.

·2 years agoIf you ordered two and only received one you should have opened a not as described case for missing pieces. If it's been 6 weeks you are beyond the 30 day money back guarantee ebay offers. You still should be able to claim through your payment source.

·2 years agoNot to sound harsh, but all of that is pointless. You spoke with an agent who forgot everything you told them the second they were done speaking to you. You needed to open a case. Again though, you should be able to open up a dispute with the payment source.
