Item not as described, as a buyer what should I do?
Asking for quick guidance here. Bought an Lego for $15, plus $5 shipping. The pieces had bite marks and sharpie all over them. Plus the set is missing pieces, etc. None of this was mentioned in description or pictures. I requested a refund, and the seller quickly refunded the purchase price but not shipping. I requested a shipping refund, and offered to return the item. Seller asked me to send it back, and he would refund $10 when they received the item. While I appreciate the quick response and understanding, should I pay to return it and go on good faith for a refund for shipping, or should I open a 'item not a described' case for my own protection? I'm not interested in making it more complicated than necessary, and I don't want to stir the pot, as the seller seems genuinely apologetic, (I bought for my son, he sold for his son). But as a buyer, is there a policy I should follow here to to cover my end without also looking aggressive? Thanks.
