Is there a way to get feedback left for me (the buyer) by the seller?
Bought a CD that seller listed as being in "Excellent condition" and as being
"Like New: An item that looks as if it was just taken out of shrink wrap. No visible wear, and all facets of the item are flawless and intact".
CD sent to me was not "like new", it had tab pinch marks (indentations) on the front booklet.
I left negative, but honest and accurate, feedback for seller.
In turn, he retaliated by leaving me untrue negative feedback in the guise of a positive (green).
Is it possible to get this feedback removed? If so, how would I go about it.
I know that feedback left for buyers doesn't mean much and that the overall positive rating is not affected,
but it still bothers me as what seller said is untrue.

·2 years agolooks like you deserve it You could have opened a not as described as case then returned for free but u left a Neg FB ONLY 1 they had gotten. Of course you have never sold an item

·2 years agoYou are claiming the item you received is not as described in the listing.
So as referenced by @soh.maryl, why not just go to the order and in the dropdown box, request a return based on NAD? You can then return it on the seller's dime and get a full refund. After doing that, the feedback would probably remain.
You can also still report the seller's feedback violation which when removed will also remove your reply to it referring to a "claim."

With that being said, your reply to the seller's feedback states that you made a 'claim' with eBay (another feedback no-no), so I'd probably not have left feedback for the seller at all while that played out.

Yeah, you're probably right. I usually don't leave negs for sellers at any of the platforms I buy CDs.
Probably should have left no feedback. Not worth the hassle.
With every passing day, I buy less on ebay, more on Amazon and on Discogs.

Why?
Seller misrepresented the item in his listing.
Booklet had 2 large, deep indentations that cut through the pages.

What he should have have done is listed the CD as:
Disc - like new, NM
booklet - VG, booklet pinch mark/torn at bottom.
Let the buyer know what he's paying for up front.
Joke? I think not.

OP2 years agoBy the way, this was no mom and pop operation selling the occasional CD that might not know any better.
This seller makes his living selling nothing but CDs, has been an ebay seller since 2001, has sold thousands of CDs.
He should no better, in terms of grading and in terms of ebay policy.

·2 years agoYeah the seller should open every sealed cd package to check the condition of every page in the booklet, the cd itself, the condition of the plastic and the cardboard layouts against the cd. I’m sure that would be a very successful business….

What part of ( see my post above): "It was not sealed. A used CD described as a being "like new". He knew, or at least should have checked before shipping it."

·2 years agoI'm confused. Looking at the listing it says brand new and sealed. Was it not? He still can't leave a negative comment in a positive comment, but I was just curious. If it was sealed there may have been no way for him to know what the booklet looked like.

·2 years agoIf you were unaware of your rights under the Money Back Guarantee, it's time to read it.
Might not hurt the seller to do that also.
Did you or did you not open an item not as described case?
What in the OP's messages would even hint that he needs to read the MBG? OP is asking for advice on how to have negaitve feedback (shown as positive) removed.

·2 years agoHe didn't have to open a case. The seller saw the message and immediately refunded him and let him keep the CD. The OP left a negative anyway. I think a negative should be left if you had to fight tooth and nail for a refund. If the seller took responsibility and refunded and let him keep it then that is not deserving of a negative. To leave a negative for a pinch mark on the booklet or cover art isn't deserving of a negative if the seller refunded and let him keep it. The OP should have said he was unhappy and the seller refunded in full, don'tcha think?
