International seller removed listing after I purchased item
I placed an order for a rare miles morales Lego and it costed around 670 dollars after being exchanged in GBP and just a few hours later the listing appeared as unavailable removed. I quickly tried to get the issue resolved and I messaged the seller but the messages kept disappearing and I went to eBay support and they said to message the seller despite my messages not sending and one of them tried to open a case but for some reason it says it was not accepted this all happened today does anyone have any information?

The seller is trying to scam you. The listing wasn't removed due to a technical error on eBay's part. It was removed because eBay thought it wasn't a legitimate listing. It appears the seller's account has also been suspended. Stop communicating with the seller and let the case continue. Four days after you opened it you'll need to go back to it and ask eBay to step in. Then you'll be refunded.

Though the account was still "active" this morning when I looked, glad to know it was given its "last rites" so to speak. It was an account (ZERO feedback) that was registered for about a week, selling an item for about $650 US. when the actual sale range for the product was OVER $3.5K......
The claim should be a "slam dunk" win for our OP, who actually believed in the MBG. Why make him wait for an item that "is not coming, or ever existed in the first place?" All I kept thinking was that the scammer was going to send a cheap trinket to the local Walgreens in @ryrom_8757 s zipcode for proof of delivery and the drama would continue.

Were you "lured in" by the price?
It appears that eBay removed the listing. It still can be found by searching by item number but if you try to view it there is the "we looked everywhere"(guy in raincoat) error page. That is a good indication that the listing was pulled for being fraudulent and is on its way out altogether from the site. I would venture to guess that if YOU can see the seller's name/feedback page (with the stars) they are likely "no longer a registered user" unless a hijacked account was used to post the listing. If that is the case you may be able to file an item not received claim early OR not at all since the listing was removed altogether.
There is another product for sale under the exact same title for $3999.99 by a seller that has yet to have any seller feedback at all. At least that one is in a category the has the money back guarantee, but one wonders why a an ID that is new to selling wouldn't have dollar limits.
The first in the screenshot is the one you "bought".
The second (partly shown) is the other one mentioned above. It seems to have sort of an identity crisis (ID change) going on because the user ID on the listing is not the user ID under which it is listed.

OP3 years agoI messaged eBay support but they said I would have to wait 3 business days for the refund but I still don’t exactly know what to do now other than wait the time out. If the item isn’t sent will I get my refund?

OP3 years agoSpoke again with an agent and they said that I will for sure be able to get a refund in 3 days if the seller doesn’t respond or send the item thank you all for the information.

·3 years ago3 days is the normal wait time for the seller to respond to any claim. Wait and see what they decide on the fourth day, nothing else you can do. You should get your refund as long as the item was covered by the MBG. Read how it works in the link I gave you earlier, familiarize yourself with it, you seem really green..

DO NOT CLOSE YOUR CASE.

·3 years agoDO NOT CLOSE THE CASE. That case is the only bargaining item you have. Once closed, you do not have a second chance through ebay. I would still seek the refund regardless of the buyer at this point. When things get removed, usually means something is up & you don't want to be a part of that.

·3 years agoI've been told by an eBayBlue that the phone reps work for eBay, but I strongly suspect there is some weasel wording going on there and my belief that they get their paychecks from a sub-contractor based in Utah.
However the reps who answer the social media Chats are well trained.

DO NOT CLOSE THE CASE!!
You will not be able to reopen it when the scammer gets your money and you get nothing.
For the record, in addition to eBay's Money Back Guarantee, you are also covered by Paypal's Buyer Protection and by the chargeback provisions of your credit card.
If you pay with a debit card or with gift cards (or a personal check, money order or cash) you have no buyer protection at all.

·3 years agoDid you try to open an INR case? You will have to wait until one day after the final estimated delivery date. Ebay may have removed the listing but your item may still be shipped and delivered. Besides the item being removed was the seller NARU?

OP3 years agoThe customer service representative opened it for me and then a message popped up saying not refunded. The seller doesn’t have ratings and they were registered February 23rd.

OP3 years agoYes I believe so the service associate said it was as well.

·3 years agoIf the EDD has not passed yet that maybe why they couldn't refund or open a case yet. Wait until that date passes and open the case yourself online. You should also read ebay's money back guarantee while you're waiting.
