Increase max bid
Why is it that when I click place bid it only has me raise max instead of actually bidding? it still shows at the bid amount from before i placed my bid on other accounts and devices, and I'm confused.

·2 years agoBid stays at the initial bid until someone else bids. You do not bid against yourself. Your "max" stays hidden, and only enough to keep you in the lead is displayed and used.
You could bid 100 times. Your max bid would stay hidden unless the listing had a "reserve" at which point if your bid met the "reserve" it would then increase above hidden to the "reserve" amount.

Increase max would indicate that you already placed a bid.

Others have been complaining that the Bids & Offers page is not always displaying correctly. In some cases, refreshing the page, or holding down the shift key and refreshing the page may help.
If not, try viewing your bids on your Summary page:
https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/summary
If you add items to your Watch List before bidding, that provides another way to keep track of items you have bid on.

·2 years agoAh, this is interesting and @eburtonlab is correct @tan-80448 . I'm currently bidding on an auction. On my bids & offers page it says I'm not bidding on any items. Continually forcing a page refresh sometimes makes the bid appear and other times it does not.
When I go to my summary page there is a box on the top left under activity and above the menu of pages that says "buying reminders - bids ending soon (1)" and when I click on the (1) it takes me back to the bids & offers page and the item I'm bidding on appears every time.
