I'm suspicious I've been scammed, wondering what to do "before it's too late" ..?
I recently purchased an item (a binder). It still shows as "Awaiting Shipment," but it arrived yesterday (delivered by Amazon, lol). However, the binder is completely different than the rather nice pictures made it look. Looking back at the listing, I see now that's it's rather suspicious; utterly chock-full of spelling errors (like every single word is misspelled, amazingly), and that there are apparently hundreds of other sellers offering this same item for the same price... It all just feels very weird, and so while I want to request a return/refund the "normal way," I'm worried I'll fall into some loophole trap or something, especially with their tens of thousands of positive feedback (one of those stores that just sells hundreds of Made in China items) if eBay takes their side. Also curious how the "Awaiting Shipment" status & shipped via Amazon aspects affect things. Thank you for your time!

·5 months agoYou received an item that's not as described. eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers covers that situation. You need to find this item in your Purchase History, click on it, then click on "Not As Described" or whatever the verbiage is.
The fact that tracking does not show it as having been delivered makes no difference here. And that Amazon information means that the seller either uses AZ as a drop shipper, or has his items stored with Amazon. The 1st is an eBay no-no, the 2nd is OK. Again, this makes no difference in your NAD case.
Please take the time to read eBay's Money Back Guarantee. It's really quite good. The catch is that ALL buyers need to read it, understand it and use it within 30 days.
If you have further questions or issues, feel free to return here and ask.
