I was sold a counterfeit item. Apple Airpods. Please be careful!

He sold me a counterfeit Apple Airpods Pro 3.
According to the pictures, it looked brand new, plastic wrapped and sealed!
Unfortunately, I couldn't open it within the 30 days of receiving it (my big mistake, not thinking this could be a fake). When I did open it, I tried it on and it couldn't connect properly so the following two days I decided to take it in at the Apple store to see what's going, seeing that it was still under "warranty". At the store, they told me that it was a counterfeit and the serial number had been used numerous times all over many different countries. So, anyone who wants to buy some electronics, please be careful!!!!
I contacted the seller and he offered to give me partial money which I refused because it was a fake! I was so angry. I counter offered and he declined and closed my request entirely. I tried contacting eBay that this person is selling counterfeit items and he should be removed from the system. I am still waiting for their response. Also, I paid through paypal and also filed a claim and since I didn't file within 30 days, they can't do anything about it.
My biggest lesson learned that costed me almost $200, I want to let everyone know to not trust buying these electronic devices online. Go to the real store! So, in the end, I ended up going to a legit store to buy a real one and spending a total $400 for an Apple Airpods! Don't waste your time and headache to buy electronic products from here just to save a few bucks.

·5 months agoIt’s against eBay policy to name and shame particular sellers..and don’t assume that others going to repeat your actions..the only positive outcome that, hopefully for you, lesson learned..🥃

I never buy any type of electronics on eBay. I buy at that type of thing at retail brick and mortar stores.
