I was cheated by seller
The item I purchased is stated as weighing 7.5 pounds in the listing, which is reasonable since it is a 3 ft artificial tree in a cement base as clearly described in the listing. The UPS states the shipment weighed 1.6 pounds. The proof of delivery photo does not reveal a label and does not show where the item was delivered. Our UPS guy says this seller cheated us and probably didn't even mail it, but used a previous tracking number to fool ebay. Yet ebay will do nothing about this. I have all the evidence and have had to go to my credit card company instead.

When you do this be sure to let them know that this is NOT an "item not received" issue, but rather FRAUD/fake tracking/shipped to wrong address problem. If you don't claim fraud, there is a chance the c.card company will submit the claim to eBay who will respond with the same phony delivery confirmation and you have a chance of losing again and for good.

OP5 months agoYeah, I already did that. And my credit card company gave me the money back. It was obvious fraud due to a huge difference between the stated weight in the listing of 3.5 lbs and only 7 oz in the UPS fraudulent info provided.

OP5 months agoI was unable to file a fraud case because eBay would not allow it. UPS said no claims could be made. Fraudulent shipping info was provided. My credit card company returned my money. at least I can trust them. But not eBay.

·5 months agoSeems reasonable to me. Surely this will get your problem resolved.
You can hate ebay all you want, but it's the scammer you ought to be mad at. You do know that ebay is not the only place scammers do business, right?

You could have bought it cheaper on Amazon, the same place the seller from Israel is buying their items from and dropshiping.

If you've already gone to your payment provider, ebay is out of the picture and can't help.
What you could have done, provided the scam delivery was in your zip code, would have been to open an INAD case (item not as described, doesn't match description). This tactic screws the scam seller at their own game. If you don't get a response from the seller in 3 business days, on the fourth day you ask ebay to step in. They force a refund, and in many cases, don't insist you return the item. If seller does respond with a shipping label, slap it on an empty bubble mailer and send it back. Either way, you'd be refunded.
