I want to candcel a purchase that is not listed
The order that I want to cancel is not listed on "My Ebayâ€. It is not listed on recently viewed or anywhere that I see on eBay.
The transaction date was Jan 7, 2026 and it was paid by PayPal. Paypal says the seller was ebay commerce Inc. The invoice ID is: 5c52114f-cbd2-4812-a2c5-372d8ec118ed
Please advise.

·8 months agoThere is literally nothing that anyone on this forum can do with your invoice ID. We are all buyers and sellers, none of us are ebay staff.
You need to reach out to EBAY directly.

1. Are you sure you bought the item on ebay and not on another site where the seller claimed that ebay is "handling the transaction?"
2. You've received 2 feedbacks from sellers during the last month. One is from a seller in China and the other is a private listing so we can't see the seller or location. Does the total Paypal payment align with the prices of either of those purchases?

How about an item #?

If you go to your My ebay page there should be headers for Orders/Purchases. and you should be able to find the purchase there. To find out more about the transaction Click on Order details.
On your PayPal account you see ebay commerce inc. Because that the site is where the payment originated. It is not a seller's name. The rest of the info except for the Order number is PayPal info, and cannot be used to get info from ebay.
As for cancelling a purchase you have already made you have to locate the item in your Purchase history. Click on the More Actions button and select Contact seller to request cancelling the transaction. If there is a Track item button showing it means the seller has at the very least created a shipping label. If you click on the track item and see that a shipper has received the item, you are too late to cancel.
Also understand that when you pay for an item you entered into a contract with the seller, and you cannot unilaterally cancel it. The seller would have to agree also, and ebay does not require sellers to accept cancellation requests, even if they have not shipped an item yet.

·8 months agoMake sure your Purchase History isn’t filtered for your 2025 orders only, or some other date range. In the top right you’ll see “Show Orders†and it may say 2025 there. Just click it and change it. This often shows up at the beginning of each year.
