I think I've been scammed
I won an auction on Sunday, paid for it and today it doesn't exist. Item number 155831982449
It was for a:
Lowrance HDS 7 Live + Active Imaging 3-n-1
That is a type of sonar fish finder. I won the auction for $406 and paid $435.44 with tax. When I go to "order details" and click on the item, I am sent to a page that says, "We looked everywhere, looks like the page is missing.
What should I do now? I suppose I should contact my credit card company to stop that payment? Or should I somehow contact eBay to handle the refund of my payment? I feel just sick over this.

P.S. Any way to attach images or a link to images? Let me try:

OP2 years agoUpdate:
The reason I got a refund is because I opened a case on the situation. Boy are they FAST! I think it was about 20 minutes between the time I opened the case and I checked my credit card. Just after, I got an email from eBay saying my case is resolved and found in my favor and that they issued a refund. So evidently they didn't know about this until I opened the case. I guess I don't feel too stupid. I was smart enough to open the case, even though it was still days away from the shipping window closing. I was going to wait until Oct 31st, when the shipping was to have been completed, but figured, what-the-heck and see if I could open one.

OP2 years agoI just checked my credit card and it shows that the funds were taken out on the day of the auction and are now pending a refund. I think eBay may be aware of this issue. How else would they process a refund and kick the seller out by unregistering him? I sure wish eBay had contacted me instead of leaving it up to me to discover this. I had a very sinking feeling when I clicked on the link to my purchase and it wasn't there. Then my bowels went loose when I clicked on contacting the seller and discovered he's no longer registered. I feel stupid...

·2 years agoWhy feel stupid? If you are getting a refund, you are being protected by eBay.

OP2 years agoActually, it says he's no longer a registered user. I have no idea how he got my money, deleted his auction after it was closed and paid for, then unregistered as a user...

OP2 years agoIt gets worse. When I try to click on the seller's link, it says the page no longer exists!
