I think I bought from a seller with the new seller blues.
I saw an item I wanted and purchased it. The seller then contacted me as to dimensions desired. I told him the dimensions in the photo looked good and I could adjust on my end as necessary as long as it was inbetween 3/4" and 1". The item was carved bone (new not vintage). He responded "perfect I'll make one right away".
Nowhere in the origional listing did it say there would be any kind of delay. There was a photo of one already made. I'm in no hurry so I informed him of that and not to exceed his handling/ship by time on my account and the one listed would be fine.
Then on "sellers other items" he had an auction going for some similar items and I placed a bid. I won the auction.
Now the seller (new) has completely ghosted me. USPS awaiting item 11 days later on the first item and no information on the second items. Sigh.
Thinking he maybe doesn't know of new sellers holds on funds. I messaged him and explained that if that was why I was getting crickets to do a search on the subject.
A couple of days later...crickets still.
I didn't like doing it to a new inexperienced seller but I filed a INR on the first (Estimated 4/25) and will do so on the second when the time comes.
Three total sales and two of them are mine.
He's domestic so the process will be simple for me but maybe the kiss of death for him.
I shouldn't feel bad but I do. Everyone needs to start somewhere.........................

·4 months agoUnfortunately that's the risk of dealing with a new seller. If a seller has 0 feedback I do not purchase from that seller even if they are giving a good deal.
