i purchase a coffee machine Fore $228.80 received it December 9, On january 14 stopped working

As I stated I purchase a nespresso coffee machine on December 9 2024 on jan 14 it stopped working The Seller will not refund my money for @$228.80 and Ebay is impossible to deal with. You are not able speak to a Human . I can't find a phone number that works,Ebay was a great company to deal with today it has become impossible . can someone help. VERY SAD

I assume it was not delivered on Dec. 9th...

So it looks like you have 30 days from delivery of item to return it...

Unless we don't know the whole story.

File a dispute with your credit card company. Please be careful when you are purchasing from eBay. There are a lot of fakes and cheap quality items from China. More than 50% of sales in eBay are from Chinese Sellers

The only way a credit card would cover this is if the card offers additional warranty protection for items purchased with it.

No, it is not the fault of the seller or eBay. First, the purchaser should have asked if the seller was an authorized seller. Second, to save some $$$ buying items on eBay, you run the risk there may be a warranty problem, and you may not be covered.

If you want a warranty, buy it from an authorized seller and pay the price.

There is no warranty on most items sold on eBay. eBay covers you for 30 days from delivery. You have to take that up with the company that made it. However, unless if was purchased from a factory dealer, they often won't cover it. Non dealer sales are considered second hand sale and the warrant often does not transfer.

If you paid by credit card, you can contact your card company about their policy.

That has to be kept in mind when making purchases in venues like this. New here is not the same as new in a retail store.

Even if you had been within eBay's 30-day Money Back Guarantee window you wouldn't have been covered. The MBG only covers items if they're defective when received. The seller had no idea the machine would stop working 40 days later. Sellers aren't warranties, nor does eBay require them to be.

IT WAS ONLY 5 DAYS AFTER THE WARRANTY NOT 40 DAYS. I'M SURE YOU WOULD NOT BE VERY HAPPY IF IT HAPPENED TO YOU.

I CHECKED HIS SALES HE MOSTLY SELLS JUNK. I THOUGHT HE WAS SELLING A PRODUCT THAT HE OWNED.I HAVE SOLD ON EBAY AND I HAVE NEVER SOLD ANY PRODUCT THAT WAS DEFECTIVE OR SOMEONE ELSES OLD JUNK. THIS IS WHAT HE DOES FOR A LIVING, NOW I KNOW WHY EBAY DOESN'T HAVE PHONE NUMBER TO CUSTOMER SERVICE DEW TO SHODDY SALES PEOPLE. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM EBAY. Of course I wouldn't be happy if it happened to me. That has nothing to do with your options under eBay's Money Back Guarantee. You're expecting the item to come with a warranty. Like most items on eBay it doesn't. Calling customer support wouldn't help you (and you can request a callback through the Help&Contact link below). And of course it's absolutely your option to not purchase here. BTW, your caps lock also seems to be malfunctioning.

PayPal window is 30 days on a not as described claim. It's 180 days on a non-receipt claim.

This situation doesn't qualify for a payment dispute. Item worked for over a month and it's not under warranty.

Buyer should troubleshoot as from what I saw doing about 2 min worth of searching is this is a very common problem with several different ways to fix it with little to no effort.

This item didn't have a warranty. It had 30 day guarantee from eBay if you had the item for more than 30 days that guarantee is void

Was it a new machine in its original sealed box? Then it could be covered by Nespressoâ€™s two-year warranty. Check the paperwork that came with it.

You're past the 30 day MBG window and you've used the item for over a month. eBay CS won't be able to assist other than advising you to work with the seller.

My advice is to contact Nespresso for support; they may be able to help you troubleshoot any problems with their machine.
