I need to have a conversation (about a problem) with a real person and not AI. Amazon = real people
I feel tricked by the seller and the return lingo on eBay. I can't talk to anyone real. It's changed in 20 years and is totally impersonal. So if you have a problems outside the norm or a seller has been harassing you and demanding person information etc...don't expect eBay to help a buyer. Not gonna happen. Look at other platforms who actually support buyers as well as sellers.

Since the eBay case is closed, contact your payment source (credit card, etc) and file a claim. No need for further communication with the seller.

If this is regarding the three negs you left recently for the seller in India, she cant send you a return label from a foreign country. The usual process is to ask for your Paypal id to send you the funds for a return label.

OP8 months agoGood day. The seller you refer to is not from India. This seller is from the US. I would never buy 5K worth of gemstones from someone in India. The seller buys fake gems from India or China (for a few dollars) and tries to convince herself or others that they are genuine. She first told me she bought them many years ago when her husband owned a jewelry store and she needs the money (so they are at a good price). I proved they are glass (with the help of my jeweler). What she is doing is illegal. One can't sell fake gems as natural. They are fakes and so are the certifications she sends with them. None could be verified out of the 6 we tried to verify. We spent hours on this investigation. Yes, I left feedback that I hope anyone who goes to her page will see because she has already ripped off other people and she was begging me to trust her because she wants to quite her job and needs the money. So, basically asking me to give her 5K because I feel sorry for her...after I proved she sold fake gems. She has the same gems back for sale on her page but no one at eBay can be contacted. I hope anyone, who can prove gemstones are fake, would leave negative feedback after being ripped off like this. I hope my experience helps someone else.

Im really sorry to hear all that. But all you had to do was open an item not as described case, the seller would have been responsible to provide a return label, or the funds to do so. You had thirty days to file a claim, its all automated. If the seller didnt respond, on the fourth day you ask Ebay to step in,and you would have been refunded. There was no need for all that back and forth with this seller, and you didnt even need to take the gems to your jeweler. Ebay would have taken your word that they were fake. Ebay couldnt make it easier to return fake items and be refunded.

·8 months agoIf the seller’s return shipping address is in another country, they will have to send enough funds to cover return shipping, because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country, OR they can refund in full without having you return the item. If the seller does neither, click on the link to Ask Ebay to step in, when it shows up in your Return Request details.

·8 months agoI humbly suggest you learn how to deal with automation instead of humans. I have adapted and I turn 72 shortly.
From what I've been reading AI is set to replace more and more humans in customer service especially, everywhere. The only humans I get on the phone of any real help are from websites that don't have stockholders and the attendant bean counters that come with them. Small family owned.
As far as a seller harassing you...don't let them. I contact them ONE time and if their answer isn't to my liking I give them a dose of eBays Money Back Guarantee.
If it's an international seller there's information they need to send you the funds for a return label as they can't just issue it from their end (from what I understand anyway). If that's the case someone with more experience with that will come along to advise you if you provide more details...............

·8 months agoEbay has a 30 day Money Back Guarantee.
If you can explain your situation,we can advise you. (real people)
Based on the feedback you have left, may I suggest that you use the Ebay MBG to file a Return Request:

OP8 months agoI filed a return and the seller filed a baseless complaint against me. I have not had this happen before and I tried to report the seller for bullying me and demanding my personal contact info...trying to convince me not to return fake gems since it was a lot of money. I was able to prove they are fake (with my jeweler's help) and we could not verify any certifications the seller sent. I returned the 3 orders and even spent $90 of my own money (to insure the items and pay postage). The seller would not send the labels. Then, eBay language was not clear after the returns were received. I thought I would get a refund. I was not trying to cause a problem...just get my money back. eBay sent a message asking if I agree to close the seller's complaint. I had no idea this meant close down the refund. Apparently, it did. I don't even know why I was asked if I want to close a case they opened. Now, after returning all the items, I get no refund (on 1 order) and the seller has all the fake gems returned. I have not been fully refunded. Worst of all, the seller has the exact same fake gem listed on eBay again...for sale. Try to wrap your mind around that. But there is no way to reach out and get a real person who wants to help resolve this or stop this seller from ripping people off.

·8 months agoEbay can't help you since you closed the Return Request. When the seller would not provide the return shipping labels, all you needed to do was go back to your return request and ask Ebay to step in to help you get your refund.
Contact the funding source you used to purchase the fake gems to dispute the charge.
googuy777
OP8 months agoThank you for all your help. I did go back to the funding source and show all the evidence of the returned items. They are stepping in to get the money refunded. I did not mean to cancel the refund after I had sent back the items. Ebay was not clear that I was canceling the refund. They only asked if I wanted to close the sellers case against me. Not sure how I can cancel that but since it was a baseless case I said I did want to cancel it and then I got no money back after I had already returned the item and it showed up as being returned. I thought we were all done and I could finally move on...lesson learned. But this lady is still selling fake gemstones to the public and no one is doing anything to stop her. How sad is that for someone who might believe her lies she told to me?

If you closed the case, there's nothing Ebay will do now and contacting CS won't help.
Contact your payment source and see about a chargeback.

·8 months agoeBay's Money Back Guarantee offers very good help for buyers if/when a transaction goes wrong.
There is no need at all for contact with the seller in question. The only catch is that the buyer has to read it, understand it and use it in a timely fashion.
All you need to do is open an item not as described case, then follow the prompts.
Have you read the MBG?

·8 months agoHow do YOU get 'personal help' on Amazon?? (the rest of the world doesn't).
googuy777
OP8 months agoI can always communicate with someone on Amazon. I have never had a problem and they always help me. Maybe you're not familiar with how to navigate their site? I'm not sure why you can't reach a live person...through their help area.

·8 months agoThe 'someone' that you talk to isn't a real someone, and if you don't pick the word when it asks you a question, it will repeat the question over and over again until you pick the right answer.
Real people don't normally do that ...

OP8 months agoGood day. It's a US seller. They wanted desperately to convince me the fake gemstones they sold are genuine. They did not want to refund when I proved they are fake. They bullied me and pressured me to send my outside contact email. They wanted to have someone call me to convince me they are genuine...after they supposedly lost all the paperwork to prove it. I have the seller messages but no way to send to eBay. The certifications they sent are also fraudulent. It was over 5K I spent with a guarantee of a legitimate certification to accompany the gems. I had a jeweler help me determine they are fake. The certified cards were verified as fakes through the company whose name they bore...except the ones in India (never could contact). I am glad I investigated. Seller still owes me for one order I returned but no refund given due to a problem. Only AI contact at eBay...so can't explain what happened. The seller was trying not to refund the whole time and filed complaints against me as soon as I filed a return on the fake gems. What the seller is doing is illegal according to the FTC. Thank you for asking.

If you filed an INAD, how long has the case been opened?
If it's been open for 4 days, return to the case and ask Ebay to step in.
