I need an ebay receipt that shows condition of item I purchased.
In order for the manufacturer to honor their product warranty I need my ebay receipt to show the condition, which is new, to be shown on receipt but I am not seeing that listed on any order confirmation, receipt, or delivery confirmation from ebay. Help please!

The reason why the manufacturer wants a receipt is to show that you bought the item from one of their Authorized Dealers. An ebay receipt will not prove that even if it gave the item condition as New or New in an unopened box.
What you have to understand about buying items from any site is, sellers can get items from Store closing, Over stock, superseded item auctions or sales. They may be new in the box, but are not covered by the Mfr.'s warranty because the store was the original owner, and most warranties are not transferable to the second owner who is not an authorize dealer. Often the serial numbers from those sales are recorded with the Mfr, which automatically voids a warranty if it is applied for.
Mfr. warranties often are cancelled when a product goes out of production or is superseded by a newer version, within 60 days of that happening.

OP2 years agoThank you so much for your response it was super helpful. The thing I purchased a gaming device and I also purchased "All State's additional 1 yr device warranty or insurance" or whatever it's called because it was offered and only 20 bucks. But after contacting All State they said to apply for the warranty through the manufacturer because it was still covered under the manufacturers warranty but the item was listed as Condition: Excellent - Refurbished but that isn't Certified Refurbished so I don't think the manufacturer will cover it. It's so frustrating going around in circles like this just to get a warranty honored, either via All State or the manufacturer. But thank you for your answer it helped alot

I hope you get notified about this reply. If not it may help others who read it.
You replied to my post writing in part:
"the item was listed as Condition: Excellent - Refurbished but that isn't Certified Refurbished so I don't think the manufacturer will cover it. It's so frustrating going around in circles like this just to get a warranty honored".
That is something that should have been posted when you started the topic, it would have changed several replies you received, including mine. When a seller lists an item that has been refurbished, there used to be a couple of choices they could select for the item condition. Mfr. Refurbished and Seller refurbished. Even then the items could not be listed as new. I believe that has changed now and the option for Seller refurbished is gone. Open the link below.

Manufacturer refurbished items do come with a Warranty sheet, usually for 90 days from the date received, "and it will be honored even if the item is not sold by an Authorized Dealer. They do not need a receipt to be honored. Actually, Mfr. Refurbished items are sold/auctioned off in lots for resale, usually to online re-sellers, and they can be a way to get good deals on items.
If the item you bought was for a listing that had more than one available, and there is still stock left. Use the report item button on the listing page on the right just above the Item Specifics box. Or you may be able to report it as a purchase using the link below.

If you received the item less than 30 days ago, You can use the More Actions box on your purchase history page. Select return item, and use Does not match photos or description, as the reason. If a text box opens that allows you to add info. Simply state; "Item condition was listed as new, but in the description it was said to be refurbished and did not come with the 2 year warranty mentioned".

·2 years agoSo far as I know the only place that lists condition of the item is the listing description. If the purchase was less than 90 days ago you should be able to access it from your purchase history. If it's been longer than that eBay has deleted it. It's always a good idea when you buy something with a warranty to either screenshot or print the listing details.

Unless the eBay seller has been authorized by the manufacturer to be a registered dealer, the seller can not offer a product warranty, even if the item is new.
You may be out of luck.
Sorry.
