No you did not. They were already removed. A thief copied down the number and replaced the scratch off strip. The card was placed back for sale waiting for it to be sold and activated. The thief then spends the card. The missing numbers are so you can't spend it before they do. A very common scam.
Have to go back to where you purchased it and explain the scam to them. Hope they will refund. However, most don't. NEVER purchase gift cards.
