I just saw a listing for a piece of native jewelry lost/stolen from me several years ago
I have pictures of it and am not sure how to go about reclaiming it, or if I can reclaim it?? The seller said it was purchased from another seller (Which I confirmed) When I asked the original seller about it, he did not reply back. Any advice on this? Much thanks!

Possession is hard to take back.
You're better off buying the piece of jewelry to get it back and then try to have it traced back to the one you think stole it.

Have a photo of the item you got stollen from you I might be able to say one of a kind or multiples....

·3 years agoThe OP is talking about Native American jewelry. The vast majority of NA jewelry is one of a kind. A design may be repeated, but with different stones. The matrix in turquoise can't be duplicated. Handmade silver is never going to be the same from piece to piece. I have an extensive collection of NA jewelry, and if you scattered it in a group of 500 similar pieces I could easily pick out the ones that are mine.

·3 years agoUnless you are in Louisiana or Quebec, you still own things which have been stolen from you, no matter how many hands they have passed through.
In reality though, your best bet to recover the piece would be to bid on the auction, or otherwise persuade the seller to get it back to you. Expect to pay for that.
Not fair, but practical.
And yes, do renew your police report. I assume you filed one at the time of the theft?

·3 years agoThe only way eBay will get involved is if a law enforcement agency contacts them. The place to start would be your local police. Then have them contact eBay through their Law Enforcement portal: https://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/law_enforcement.html
