I got scammed
Hello Everyone,
I have bought a usb wireless adapater, which states in the title that it's Kali Linux Compatible
"ALFA AWUS036AXML 802.11axe WiFi 6E USB Adapter AXE3000, Kali Linux Compatible"
after I have received it I have spent 2 days trying to make it work with no luck, tried every available driver and tutorial, re-installed Kali Linux, it just doesn't work.
I have paid 14$ customes fees for this products, so returning it is a lost for me, because it won't be refunded.
After contacting the the seller he said that he can only help with windows and that he doesn't have kali linux.
He also accused me for being a scammer.
I have bought from the same seller 11 products in the last three months, and now he is treating me so bad,
here is his answer:
"Our website have give windows drivers. Kali Linux is a 3rd party software. Every buyer can do it. But you can't. I only a seller not a programmer. I rather get a big lost of your refund. And block your id from my list to avoid any loses in the futures. I will not let buyer have the item for free just like encouraging them to scam in future. I believe in God and karma"
what to do please?

OP2 years agoSo today I have returned the item, the seller told me to send him my paypal to send me the shipping costs I paid:
"I will pay your shipping fees accordingly to eBay regulations by PayPal. Screenshot me the shipping cost. I want every thing transparent. Thanks"
He did sent me the shipping costs indeed to my paypal right after I sent him the receipt, but now he is threatening me to open a dispute to get it back!!!!!!!
All of this because I wrote a honest feedback about the item.

·2 years agoItems purchased from one country sold to another country may not be compatible in your country.
Although you got lucky a few times with this seller it might be better to find the item in the country you live in whether in an eBay listing or in a brick and mortar store.
Seller is listed from Malaysia and item comes from Singapore and you live in Morocco.
Getting blocked by the seller seems childless.
I would still return item even if it cost custom fees. Perhaps you get it to work for a while and then it ends up not working a few months later?
Do the IND claim. What if the seller decides to refund you and tells you to keep the item? The seller seems a little mad...maybe it might be too complicated for item to be returned on his part. That is the $14. question.

OP2 years agohis loss gonna be much bigger than mine anyway, to return the item it's gonna cost 26$ and it's him who is gonna pay for it, if he just talked politely we could have reached a solution, but he was so rude and he doesn't even know how to use items he is selling, after spending two days of research I found a partial solution to make it work but as you said what if after a while it doesn't work so I'm returning it. Thanks man!

·2 years agoTypically if an item is returned you can contact the customs service in your country for a refund of your customs charges.

OP2 years agothe seller agreed to return the item but he won't be refunding the customs fees I paid, also he treated me of a scammer and threatened to block me from his store, in ebay we should have someone to talk to about these things.
now I'm trying to make the product to work hardly so I won't have to return it because no one is gonna refund me the customs fees.

·2 years agoWhen an item is not as described the seller doesn't get to decide if they'll refund. You're covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee. Go to the item in your purchase history, click Return, and select Item was not as described to open a case. The seller will have to pay return shipping; if they refuse you'll be refunded without requiring the item be returned.
