I feel like an idiot and need help
Hello, I'm new to buying hand made stuff on ebay. I bought a Damascus steel/rose gold inlay ring on august 30th and I still haven't received it. I cannot seem to find the ring purchase in "the help" button section.
In september the buyer asked what my ring size was and I took two weeks to get back to him because I didn't know and had to get it sized and then I forgot to get back to him. When I finally got back to the seller [removed by moderator] I don't think he saw the message. It's now been several months and still no answer and no ring. I would like to get in touch with ebay customer service about this but I can't seem to figure out how to do that now that the order disappeared from the help menu.

·6 months agoI have a feeling they will come back here in July to see if they got any responses to their post.

·6 months agoYou're probably right, but they may not come back at all, at least to post. Most of the time, when someone is shown the error of their ways, they turn tail and run (figuratively speaking).

·6 months agoAnd if you are able to still pursue charge back with your bank, leave out the part that you "forgot". A bank doesn't want to hear that with a charge dispute

·6 months agoYou said you paid on Aug30 but this is Mar3. You also did not get back to the seller about size. I will take you did not receive a refund because it would have to have been initiated by you. I think you are out of luck and lesson learned.

I'm not trying to rub salt into the wound but part of the problem is your own mistake in forgetting to get back to the seller with the size.

·6 months agoMay I respectfully suggest that, before you make any other purchases on eBay, you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers. It's easy to understand and offers good resolution if/when a transaction goes wrong.
The only catch is that you need to read it, understand it and use it in a timely fashion.
This may seem harsh, but I hope you now realize that this didn't have to end this way.

·6 months agoThere still may be a chance to open a credit card dispute. Do so quickly.
The bank which issues your credit card views you as their customer, and will usually go the extra mile to keep you happy.

·6 months agoNothing to contact them about, you had 30 days of buyer protection and it is way past that.
You had 180 days with PayPal but that has also passed
Credit card is most likely passed also
Hard lesson to learn but now you will know to not wait so long

·6 months agoLets save you some time with customer service nothing will come about from contact customer service. As @wastingtime101 stated your window has closed. My advice is don't wait several months to do anything. If you don't receive anything within your estimated delivery date then the next day after that date file an "item not received" case. Don't wait. You waited and now can't really do anything.

·6 months agoHi @grandson_223 . eBay offers a 30 day window from the estimated delivery date to file a claim. If you purchased this in August, even if the seller used an extended handling time, you are way past the window for buyer protections. You have no options to resolve this through eBay if the seller is not responding.
If you paid with PayPal they have a 180 day window to file a non-receipt claim. That window closed on Feb 26.
If you paid with a credit card you can check to see what your card's window is for filing a dispute. Most are 60-120 days, but some have long windows.
