I can’t BID the item I wanted
When I’m bidding I wanted it, this error tells me Unfortunately, you cannot make offers or place bids due to a history of unpaid items on eBay.
Please go to your Purchases in My eBay to complete any pending payments so you can continue making offers and placing bids.
You may also search for other items with the Buy It Now option and pay to complete your purchase.
What happen? I can’t buy it? I check my purchases and I don’t see nothing.

·2 years agoI had 2 buyers recently get strikes. Both were fairly new, or at least had small histories like yours. I give longer than most sellers for buyers to pay and even messaged them to ask if they still wanted the item or would prefer to cancel. Neither responded, they earned their strikes and in one case it was 2 items so they are blocked from my sales for a year. What you need to do is deal with it. Don't be like that. OP2 years agoYes, it's not really expensive not all Silent Hill games are expensive on Ebay it cost around $79.99 and $100 for an item, and yes they let me BID to win.

Just check out as a guest without an account on one of the Buy It Now listings. There are 200+ BIN Silent Hill Ps1 BIN listings and only 11 auctions.
You will pay a higher price. It's your punishment for not understanding how Ebay works. But you still get the item you want.

·2 years agoGuest accounts can't bid on items. They can only do Buy it Now, immediate payment required, which you can do now.
There is no way around the current block against you. None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. There are consequences to actions. I sense that you're very young, so this is a lesson you had to learn sometime. Now is that time.

·2 years agoYou've been given the *only* answer for your situation, time after time after time, post after post after post. It's time to accept it for what it is and stop bumping this post. Doing that would be a sign of maturity. The sense that you don't yet possess that maturity is what has led several of us to surmise that you're young. That and the fact that you think you desperately need a video game and will apparently die without it.

·2 years agoForget about buying an item where you bid to win. You're blocked from bidding by most sellers.
Instead, try looking for items that are buy now immediate payment required. You may still be able to buy that way.

You can even ask sellers who are using this block if they can add you to an exemption list. However, given that you only have two purchases with positive feedback in the four and a half years you have been a member of eBay, I don’t think any of them would agree to do this.

Back in the day you could do it. I even fell for adding a buyer (who got hung in my UI Block) to my exemption list once for an item that he could not live without and promised he'd pay for ! Imagine my surprise when the deadbeat didn't pay me. 😶
Nowadays, @Anonymous, sellers who have the '2 UI Block' feature ticked usually have also activated the feature that blocks buyers' messages if they are on one of their block lists. So you might not get added to any exemption lists at all.

·2 years agoIt's not a single seller. Each seller has settings on their selling account. One of those is to block bidders with two or more unpaid item strikes in a certain period, usually 12 months. So the majority of sellers on eBay will have blocked you.
You may still be able to purchase Buy it Now listings that require immediate payment. You may also find sellers who don't have that block set. Beyond that all you can do is wait until the strikes age off.

There is no reason to try to contact a seller who has blocked you. That's what "blocked" means, no contact.

I don’t have that restriction and I still get only 1 or 2 non paying buyers a year out of the thousands of items I sell on eBay each year. I don’t lose any sleep over non paying buyers.

If not for yourself, then do it for other eBay sellers.

·2 years agoThe sellers do not want to deal with you because you have a history of not paying for items. Every time you fail to pay for an item, you get a strike against your account. A seller can set their account to not accept bids from anyone with x amount of strikes in y amount of months.
The lowest figure a seller can select for x =2. The highest figure for y =12. So, some sellers (me included) will set it at those settings. Which means 2 or more strikes in 12 months, not allow to bid on our items.

·2 years agoEbay rules specifically state that you can't open a new account to circumvent a restriction on another account. When eBay discovers the new account (and they will) they'll permanently suspend both accounts and any other account you try to open. You have no option but to wait out your 12-month restriction.

·2 years agoWell, in order to be blocked, a bidder/buyer has to have at least two nonpayment strikes, which means that they did get a second chance and they didn't pay that time, either.

·2 years agoNo you may not do that. That is very much against eBay rules. You are already facing the consequences of violating the rules. Stop digging! You are not entitled to get around the consequences of your actions/inactions.
You can try to buy from other sellers. It depends on the seller you are trying to buy from. Some don't enable that Buyer Requirement (block) at all. Some enable it but at more lenient parameters than the strictest level of blocking anyone with 2 in the past 12 months (some leave it at the defaults which are the lowest number for each parameter--2 strikes in the past 1 month--some long-time sellers haven't updated it from the old maximum timeframe of 6 months, and some for whatever reason choose to give more than second chances--the choices go up to 100 strikes in the lookback period).
So for the strictest level you will no longer be blocked by any seller (for that reason anyway) 12 months (and 1 day) after your second to last strike was issued (I know eBay no longer uses that term but it's a lot easier to type and comprehend than what the PR types decided eBay would call it). For those who don't have it set you can buy right now (assuming no other issues, such as running into your buying limits or another Buyer Requirement by that seller). For any other combination of x strikes in y months they will not apply to you when your xth to last strike is older than y months.

Th only way around this is to pay for all items you have agreed to purchase.

·2 years agoNo, you cannot buy that item. You have been blocked by an option that sellers can set up in their Site Preferences, to block bidders/buyers who have too many unpaid items in their purchase history. Apparently you have made a habit of winning auctions and backing out of paying for them?
The message part about "Please go to your purchases" makes no sense because once you have an unpaid item strike, it cannot be reversed, though paying for current purchases will help get the restriction removed eventually (it's based on activity in the past 12 months).

OP2 years agoBut I don’t have any purchases, I Cancelled the items because the price is not worth it! How do I fix this, should I wait until they block me? Or create a new account? I don’t have any purchases btw.

·2 years agoExactly how did you cancel? You would have had to ask the seller to cancel and he would have had to agree to accommodate your request. If all you did was decide not to pay, and you thought that meant you were no longer obligated, you were wrong.

You probably need to shop more carefully if you have encountered many situations where you had to ask the seller to cancel.

·2 years agoSellers are not required to cancel any order. Buyers can make a request, but sellers are not forced to agree to that request.
Make informed purchasing decisions whether it's placing a bid on an auction format listing or buying a fixed price listing outright. Be certain before you commit to a purchase.
There are search filters at the top of search results you can use to filter buy it now listings specifically so you won't even see all the auction format listings you're restricted from bidding on.

Ebay strictly prohibits setting up a new account to circumvent a restriction on another account. And they are *very* good at finding out when this happens. So if you were in that situation and set up that new account you'd find yourself permanently banned from the site.

When a buyer backs out of a transaction that is a big inconvenience for a seller. I agree with the above suspicion that sellers responded to your requests for cancellation by canceling based on "Buyer hasn't paid."

·2 years agoLearn how to use your Watch list, and then only bid/buy when you're absolutely sure that you want the item and that the price is acceptable to you.
I don't know of any way to know in advance whether a seller has set up their buyer requirements to block bidders/buyers who have too many nonpayment strikes. I think you have to just try it out, to see whether you can get through. I do know that if a seller has set it up, it will apply to all of their listings; it's not one of the item-by-item options.
