I am out of offer
I made 3 offers that were rejected. So it is preventing me from making another one. I have messaged with the seller and we have agreed to a price but I can't make him another offer. How do we get past this?

·9 months agoWhat I do in this situation as a seller is just change the price. Tell the seller to change the price.

·9 months agoSeller "revising" the price to the agree price is the best and easiest option.
Another way would be for the seller to end their listing and then relist with "best offer" revised to accept the agreed to price. While this take a bit more work on the seller's part, this assures the seller that the item COULD be purchased at the original price if the buyer reneges on the offer. (Note this has happened to me with the buyer not following through).

I’m puzzled. You should have a total of 5 offers available to you, since eBay raised the number of offers from 3 to 5 a few years ago.

·9 months agoI could be wrong, but I think the seller's counter offers count? So...
1 Buyer sends offer
2 Seller counters
3 Buyer counters
4 Seller counters
5 Buyer counters
Seller rejects. And there are the 3 offers the buyer sent, but a total of 5 offers were exchanged.
Or maybe OP made a typo and they already sent 5 offers over time. 🤷

·9 months agoI haven’t heard that previously … but it kind of makes sense to include counteroffers in the count.
ETA: I read everything I could find on offers and counteroffers in the A to Z Policy Index … and didn’t find a definitive answer.
BUT … it did say that a buyer has the ability to make 4 offers after receiving a counteroffer from a seller … which definitely suggests that counteroffers count the same as offers.

·9 months agoYou're limited and there's no way to get past it to make more offers.
The seller can lower the price of the listing and you can use buy it now.
