I am a victim of FedEx tracking scam.
I purchased an item and was given the tracking number. Fedex shows the item being delivered but I did not receive. In following up with Fedex they show my name and address are not on the parcel that was delivered. How do I get ebay to recognize this.

OP3 years agoIn a bit of a pickle I think. FedEx is stating they will not provide any acknowledgment of shipper sending to other than my address on letterhead (this from both Asst Manager and Manager). Both say it was not shipped from to me. I do have, however, the “chat†from FedEx Customer Service stating my address is not on shipping label. Trying to get the this sent a eBay via Messenger. Hoping this will be accepted.

·3 years agoYou are not their customer @Anonymous and your name is not on the shipping label, so FedEx has already wasted resources helping you, and would be doing free work to write a letter at company expense for you.
Instead, what does the FedEx tracking say about the weight? There was another post today which said the package weighs 1 pound 10 ounces, but their item should weigh 20 pounds, so it's definitely not their item.

If you open the link provided by eburtonlab and read the reply written by me in it, you will gt the information you need to win an appeal or to skip eBay's automated process and use the social media sites to get a refund.

OP3 years agoThank you. I am chatting with eBay and have given them all the info on the tracking number given by seller. It was shipped by a company to someone other than me, from a location in a state other than seller stated product was in, size of package smaller than what it should have been and picture of porch left on other than mine. Praying eBay checks this info with FedEx since FedEx said I was likely scammed.
What has our world come to. I am just a little old lady trying to buy a cherry pitter to help with her jam and pie filling. Thank you for your help. I so appreciate it

·3 years agoFedEx weighs and measures the shipping label at each step along its way.
If the weight shown on the tracking number is too heavy, or the box is too small, etc. for your item, you can get eBay here on Facebook to recognize this with a private message.
You won't need a letter from FedEx @Anonymous especially since you're not the FedEx customer named on the tracking number, so they would be overreaching to give you their time.

If the scammer used an appropriate sized package and the weight was close to what it should be for the item? Then hearttreasures would be out of luck. My reply in the link provided by eburtonlab explains how to get the info needed from FedEx. It also says that a FedEx employee cannot give address specifics but they can state in a note, that the delivery address on the shipping label, does not match the one on the order details page.
That is all an ebay rep has to know. If the package info type/size/weight, doesn't match up, that is just icing on the cake.
