How long would you wait for a seller to ship an item?
Won an auction for an item I really wanted on April 1st and got a good price on it even though the item when it first sold back in 2010 was basically the same price after taxes and shipping cost. Now this seller he or she has some negative reviews that claim this seller won't ship items after people paid for said item. So I really hope that's not the case. I would contact the seller to ask him or her when they plan on sending item back but in one of the negative reviews they claim the seller doesn't respond back. I do not know if I ran into a conman or conwoman on ebay or maybe the seller is busy with work. Should I give them until say Friday or this upcoming Sunday before I file a complaint against them? I mean based on the sellers negative feedback it's almost pointless to message them to find out if they will honor the sale and not break the contract.
If Ebay is allowing this seller to pull this on potential buyers time and time again. Wouldn't you think it's about time for Ebay to just ban this person from selling on their platform since they have their name and address. This is not a big seller obviously. I will give this seller the benefit of the doubt and give them some time before they ship it off. Also other complaints about this seller is that he or she lists things that are not new but claims they are new. I know some of you will leave comments blaming me from buying from a seller like this but I didn't want to spend 170-220 dollars for something that I feel like is valued much lower than what other sellers are selling it for New. Frankly I think people are overpricing what I bought. I also held off on paying my dad $100 because I told him I want to wait and see if this seller actually honors the sale. I have a bad feeling in my gut I ran into a really bad seller that Ebay should just take off their platform.

·3 years agoSince the estimated delivery date is Friday, I recommend that you try to stop worrying and just wait to see if it arrives. Maybe the seller has shipped it, but failed to enter the tracking number. Sometimes eBay's estimated delivery dates can be very optimistic. So if it hasn't arrived by the end of the day Monday, go ahead and file your "item not received" case.

·3 years agoThere was an estimated delivery date in the listing.
You have the MBG. If you do not receive your package within a few days past that date, you can open an item not received case.
The Money Back Guarantee protects buyers pretty well. If you haven't read it, now would be a good time to do so.

·3 years agoWhat is the sellers handling time? Seller post a handling time in the shipping area.
Selllers are not required to respond to messages, although it's good customer service.
Sellers are not required to send tracking info.
You do have ebay's Money Back Guarantee. If you don't receive your item by the last estimated date of delivery you can go to the item in your purchase history..Click More Actions..click Did'nt Receive It. The seller has 2-3 days to respond to the case. If they don't on day 4 you can ask ebay to step in for your refund.
FYI...It would have been a good idea to check a sellers feedback before making a purchase.

Keep in mind that April 1st was a Saturday, so the earliest the seller would have been able to ship would have been the 3rd, and unless they had a one-day handling time specified, they wouldn't necessarily HAVE to ship on the 3rd either. A three-day handling time wouldn't require them to ship until Wednesday the 5th.
Without knowing the seller's handling time or the estimated delivery date, it's impossible to give more advice.

I sent a message to seller but it's at an odd time so I guess I'll have to see if they respond much later. If they don't respond to my message and I was very nice in my message and nothing comes off as rude from what I can see in my typing then I would have to assume the worst. Obviously I'll give seller a couple days to respond but the Negative feedback they have has me paranoid. I'm already a paranoid person as it is.
