How is it that these chinese sellers are sending offers on items not in my watch list
I ve had four chinese sellers send me offers on items NOT IN MY WATCH LIST
how are they doing this ? and can they be blocked ? do i need to call ebay ?

·2 years agoJust looking at a listing can trigger that. If you first log out of eBay and clear your cookies before looking, that will prevent them from knowing who you are. No need to call eBay.

When you are on a listing page, and click on a listing in the Sponsored items string of listings, shown on one, you will get an offer from opening those listings, once it has been viewed by 30 members.
Sellers pay extra for that feature so why would ebay allow a block of the offers? How would they explain that to the sellers who are paying a fee to have ebay send offers? You will also see Sponsored on search result page listings. Usually it shows up just beneath the item title and other info.
If you do not want to receive Special offer from seller notifications. Do not click on Sponsored listings.

·2 years agoEbay thought it was a good idea to start sending out offers for just looking at a listing.
I opted out of receiving offers.
I opted out as well, but still receive them.

·2 years agoIt's pure coincidence that the sellers are Chinese. All sellers can opt into having eBay send offers when someone just views one of their listings. Since it's eBay sending the offers, calling them will do nothing. The only way to block it is to turn off receiving any offers in your account preferences.
