How do I report a seller for calling me stupid and being very disrespectful
I didn't like the product & told him I didn't like it and he said to me if I wasn't so stupid I would have read the description and then said my mother must be special

What did the listing say?
Not that the seller wasn't 'rude' but MOST sellers are NOT professionals but people cleaning out their closet and once it's all sold, they are done so they really DO NOT care how you feel.
This is the reality of dealing with 3rd Party Sellers.
This could easily happen right to your face at a garage sale, swap meet, or local pickup. People can be 'weirdly' rude etc.

Let it go.

·1 year agoIt certainly isn't nice to insult someone's mother (if my interpretation is correct), or to call you stupid (something that is inferred far too often on these boards), but they are just random, unfounded insults. I'd assume that the seller wanted to make you feel bad and ruin your day. Well, you get to choose if he succeeds. Me, I'd brush it off or come back with a response that explains how silly it is to insult someone's mother, and let him know that you aren't upset about his insults, rather you are amused. Maybe you are upset, but better to deflate that seller and let him know that insults don't have the results that he wants.

·1 year agoEfforts to address grossly inappropriate communications, should be part of eBay's sensitivity standard to protect users.
As a business bringing together buyers & sellers, eBay should really provide user education, examples of appropriate business communications for user guidance

·1 year agoNo one seems to pay attention to any of the other user education eBay provides. Do you really think it's their job to teach manners? Manners that seem to not exist in any other facet of life these days??

·1 year agoIf it is eBay's job to remove listings of items that it suspects some of it's users may find to offend their sensitivity , shouldn't it then make efforts to address communications that would clearly offend the sensitivity of the vast majority of it's users ?
I believe the majority of users have ,& are benefiting from user education that eBay provides in other areas
eBay operates as a business & it would appear to be in it's self interest that users not fear receiving inappropriate content communication from a eBay trading partner

Quite frankly, I would let it go and move on. Most of us who volunteer on these boards have gotten use to being called all kinds of names by some of the people we try to help. It's no fun for sure, and it does make you angry sometimes, but letting some insult hurling cretin live in your head isn't a good thing.

I would suggest moving on to better things in life.

·1 year agoRegarding that negative you left for a seller more than a year ago: Did you not open an item not as described case in order to be refunded?
Have you read the Money Back Guarantee?

Just ignore the message and delete any further messages unread. EBay doesn't get involved in interpersonal disputes.
