How can a seller refuse to issue a refund just because he says so. I wanted pewter and got aluminum.

·1 year agoStop communicating with the seller and just open the proper case within the time alotted.
As others have posted, read the eBay MBG to know how you are protected and how to proceed correctly.
Choose wisely and there is no reason to communicate with the seller at this time.

He can't. Go to the item in your purchase history, click Return, and select that the item wasn't as described in the listing. That opens a case under eBay's Money Back Guarantee. The seller will be required to send you a return label and refund once the item is returned.

·1 year agoSellers CANNOT refuse a refund if
a.) buyer opened a 'not as described' reason for the return
b.) buyer returns it using the provided shipping label
c.) item shows 'delivered' (to the sseller) in the tracking
If seller STILL does not refund you after the above, go back to the 'return case' and click 'escalate to ebay' and follow prompts, state why etc. Ebay will then force a refund that you will receive.
