The add read 2003 honda golding 1800 cc trike for sale good condition with 20100 mile when I answered the add they gave me a ebay web site that looked real as any I ever saw it said pay with gift card not being the wiser I bought the cards and gave the info as soon as I did that the add disappeared but moment's later came back on linebut under a different name when I told her who I was the name changed again now at present she on h er 4th name and it is graysonmarlene@gmail.com please do what you can to shut her down

·3 years agoNo one here can here can help you. eBay cannot do anything to shut down the scammer, because eBay was never involved in the deal. You found this on Facebook or Craigs List or some other site, not on eBay.
"She" does not exist. The Goldwing does not exist. The sob story to explain the cheap price was a lie. Any receipts or invoices or the like that you were sent were fake. You were told to pay in gift cards because they cannot be traced and the money cannot be recovered.
eBay cannot help you because eBay was never involved in this. Law enforcement cannot help you because a minute after you gave the scammer the gift card numbers, he and the account vanished.
There is nothing you can do now except learn from this costly lesson that the old saying remains true: If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is not true.

·3 years agoYou fell for a scam that's been around for more than a dozen years. It's always on a site other than eBay, usually for a motor vehicle or camper, always at a too-good-too-be-true price, always comes with some kind of sob story, and always promises that eBay is "handling the sale". "She" is probably a he in a foreign boiler room, cranking these scams out by the thousands. And they usually require payment in gift cards, although now bitcoin seems to be gaining in popularity. But eBay can't do anything to shut them down, because eBay was never involved. Report it to the site you found it on, although there will be little they can do. Your money is gone. I'm sorry.

OP3 years agoYa I found out to late that this was a scam I'm doing my best to just **bleep** of the guy that doing this every time he repost it I let him know that the jig is up witch usually ends up changing names but it a fun game now

·3 years agoYou're not bleeping off the guy. There is no single guy. It's likely a boiler room with hundreds of people. They lost interest in you the minute they had your money. If you're having fun at the game, knock yourself out. But don't think you're somehow getting under their skin.

There is no one on ebay for ebay to shut down.
These ads are on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up etc etc. and they are on there by the 1000's.
Lesson learned; $10,000 items do NOT EVER sell for $1200.
