Hide or Disable Watchers
Hi ive been an ebay member for 16 years and ive never been fond of seeing watchers on items i wish to purchase i personally do not want to know if anyone is watching something i want, its frustrating and then when I purchase the item i feel bad because someone else wanted it, now when i click on an item the image of the item is partially blocked at the top by a red notification indicating the number of watchers. Is there anyway to remove, turn off or disable the red watcher indicator on all listings, if not i was wondering if you could please make a way to remove the red watcher notifications.

If you are using a desktop browser, install an ad blocker, then use the ad blocker's element hiding tool to block the red banner and the # of watchers message that appear in the listing.
It may take some work to accomplish and some fine tuning to assure yourself that you are not blocking any other messages or page elements, but that should allow you to do what you want.

·2 years agoIf they wanted it, they would have already purchased it.
When you enter the world of flea-markets and auctions, you have to prepare your self for some of the most barbarous cut-throats you will ever encounter. It's not a tennis match, it's a Cajun rules dog fight. You have to be ready. Think combat with edged weapons.
Only one of you will leave the arena with the prize.
It's really to get you to buy it before another person does.

·2 years agoRemind yourself that watchers are not buyers. Anybody who wants the item will buy it outright, especially for an everyday item like soap.
And, in fact, many watchers are other sellers keeping an eye on their competitors' pricing. They're not buyers that want the product.
Hope that makes you feel better.

No, you did them a favor. They didn't want it, they were watching it to find out how well it would sell and, if applicable, for how much. If eBay didn't obscure your username to preserve anonymity, you would be receiving message after message, thanking you.

·2 years agoWhen you shop at the grocery store, and buy the last bottle of Heinz ketchup, tle last can of tuna, or the last package of napkins, do you feel bad?
I sincerely hope that this was a joke post.

·2 years agoSome people do.
I have had customers apologize for taking the last of whatever .
And in the cafeteria of our senior centre, there are often arguments over who should have the last serving of liver and onions.
You take it . No no I can have the salad. No you were in line first.....
Liver and Onion Day at the cafe is a Big Deal and very popular. There are specific posters put up notifying members that L&O day is coming.

·2 years agoDo really think the vast majority give a rip about something as mondain as seeing that banner when looking at something? I think not!
OP shows no sold items on this account, so they are posting as a buyer maybe.

·2 years ago@talzaph73178 Why would you waste energy thinking about who else wants an item? If they wanted it that bad they would buy it, and if they can't afford it there's nothing you can do about that.

·2 years agoI do not have a solution for you. If your buying the item it goes away once you purchase.

We cannot make a way to remove or change the site.
I have never found a way to remove or disable watchers.

·2 years agoAnd I bet it's never bothered you that there ARE watchers, right?
And, of course, it's been discussed here many times that "watchers" do not necessarily translate into "buyers". Maybe it would help if the OP viewed watchers as just other sellers waiting to see how much it sells for because they have a like object that they might want to list if the going price is right.
