Has eBay banned Quebec buyers or is it a glitch?
I noticed since last night I'm no longer able to buy virtually anything on eBay, everything says it can't be shipped to Quebec.
Is this because of our insane French language laws that ban virtually everything that isn't in French or is it a temporary glitch?
Thank you

·2 years agoOr maybe Quebec has banned eBay because it is not in French.
By the way, Why does Montreal have a statue to Admiral Lord Nelson who kicked the French butt at Trafalgar?

You are registered in the U.S. so why the question about not being able to have items shipped to Quebec? Before trying to buy items that will be sent to Quebec, are you checking the seller's ship to: or excluded shipping locations? If not, you may be running into the many sellers who will not ship outside of the U.S. including to Canadian locations. If the seller's are located in Canada, they may have an issue with that province.

The statue of Nelson was built with the help of many of the prominent French Canadian residents of Montreal and Quebec Province, who disapproved of the Napoleonic regime which took power in France as a result of the French Revolution, and the resulting political unrest which led to a Military Coup which was led by Bonaparte who then assumed leadership of the "Consulate" in 1799. They were happy about Nelson's naval victory at Trafalgar, hoping it would lead to Napoleon being deposed. The above is the Cliff Notes version.

·2 years agoThank you for that. I had wondered about it or a long time. Nice to finally understand.

·2 years agoI would have to guess it's a glitch.... I shouldn't think ebay would block shipping to Canadian Provence. I'm assuming you're not buying prohibited items.
