Has anyone else been having trouble receiving their items?
I had a ceiling fan never even get shipped out of the facility, hair vitamins with the incorrect tracking number (post office told me it wasn't even my address--it was a office building), now today I only received 2 of the 3 bottles of hair vitamins that I paid for. What is going on with Ebay sellers?? I may have to switch to Amazon 😞

Is this the same "hair vitamin" order that arrived later and was short? or a different order altogether?

OP11 months agoTotally different company. I did hear back from the second company and they are sending me the missing bottle. Perhaps, my bad luck run is over.

·11 months agoYou really need to get better acquainted with the Money Back Guarantee for buyers. NOW.

OP11 months agoI am very well acquainted, thanks. My post states that I have had to have ebay step in. I have gotten full refunds. If I wanted my money instead of the items, I never would have ordered them.

·11 months agoMy point was that the MBG offers very good solutions if/when a transaction goes wrong.
No need to even contact the seller or eBay or anyone else.

That would be true EXCEPT in cases when the buyer is a victim of the "fake tracking scam". as outlined in the OP by @smile_keeper . In those instances, the 'victim' must use other options since the Money Back Guarantee will be a giant fail as it has for the last 15 years or so around here.
Here is a typical example posted today:

·11 months agoThe issues you describe can and do happen with any platform, including Amazon. The solution to your issue isn't changing platforms, it is getting into the car and going to Lowe's to buy your ceiling fan and to GNC for your hair vitamins. If you are serious about being sick and tired of online buying issues, then that is your solution.
Without knowing more it is impossible to say what went sideways on your orders. For instance, did your ceiling fan seller have their store on time away but still allow you to place the order? As far as the hair vitamins, was the tracking number on the package the same one you took to the post office for answers? It seems like you have left out some key details, but you are sure quick to blame the seller. The seller may be at fault, but sellers aren't always at fault. Sellers are always responsible, however. Have you reached out to either of your sellers?

OP11 months agoYes, I reached out every time with no response from any of them. Crickets. I eventually had to have ebay step in. I would have welcomed a response because I wanted my items. I have always loved eBay and have never had this problem in well over 15 years. The sellers have been great 99% of the time. I have also been a seller on eBay (with great reviews), so I understand that stuff happens. It just seems I am having a run of bad luck finding good sellers. I don't agree that all platforms are this bad. I have NEVER had one issue with Amazon not delivering. I think they are better at cracking down on scammers and sellers that don't follow through.

I have not. But in the instances that you have... rely on eBay's MBG. >> eBay Money Back Guarantee policy

·11 months agoThe funny thing is...your past sellers might actually be 'drop-shipping' from Amazon who are selling on eBay.
Sellers don't actually have the items...they use another platform to sell items from.
So going to Amazon won't help...since 60 % of sellers on Amazon are sellers like on eBay.

·11 months agoSo these are 2 separate transactions correct? As regards to the ceiling fan if there is no tracking number and it hasn't been shipped out wait until the day after the estimated delivery date and file a "item not received" claim. You have a 30 day money back guarantee on that. As far as the hair vitamins contact the seller directly and tell them you purchased 3 bottles and received 2. If they do not answer in 24 hours then file a "item not described" case against them and return the bottles. You will then get a full refund. Some situations can be solved with direct communication with the seller. Not all sellers are this way and things happen. Keep in mind Amazon can also give you issues as well. This happens with online buying. Ebay has your back with a money back guarantee though.
