Many people have ran into issues when trying to use a Vanilla Gift Card or Mastercard Gift card on eBay. There is a simple but unobvious solution, and it's all because of how Vanilla Gift and Mastercard Gift Cards work. These cards are all owned by the same company (InComm), and all operate the same way. After some reserarch, I've found that these cards do not work on services that remember or save your card details.
With this information, I figured out the puzzle. You can use Vanilla / any InComm gift card by simply disabling the "remember this card for future purchases" option at the "Credit / Debit" pop-up.

·1 month ago · EditedI used a Vanilla gift card less than 2 weeks ago on eBay with no problem at all. I used my name and address and it wasn’t declined once. I’ve been trying to use it again with no luck. I’ve tried all but one of the ‘work arounds’ given by AI, blogs, Facebook groups, Reddit groups etc. and not one of them worked. It is so frustrating! There are literally thousands of complaints about purchases being declined and people giving up and losing their money. It’s amazing they are still in business or that they don’t have a class action suit against them.
