Graded Trading Card Came Destroyed, Seller Doesn’t Offer Returns
 
I recently ordered a graded trading card that came completely shattered upon arrival with damage to the card inside. There was 0 protection to the slab inside the envelope. The package was delivered last Monday, but due to no staff present at my apartment’s mailroom when I tried to pick it up earlier in the week, I wasn’t able to pick up the card until last Friday. I had no idea the return policy for trading cards specifically was limited to 3 days after arrival if the seller doesn’t offer returns. I still was able to request a return that Friday, but the seller has not responded to any of my messages, and eBay support says they can’t do anything because I requested a return in 4 business days instead of 3. Is there anything I can do? Thank you for any advice.

·1 year agoOut of curiosity, was the shipping via Ebay Standard Envelope (ESE).
I would doubt a slabbed card meets the rigidity criteria.
This might warrant a negative FB as well as chargeback.

OP1 year agoIt was a small and thin black poly bubble mailer. Thin enough that shards of the slab cut through the packaging. I paid $4.41 for shipping.

OP1 year agoI did explain; I reached out both when I opened the package on August 8th, and contacted them again on August 11th. eBay support bot says my return request closes at the end of tonight for some reason, so I wonder if the seller is waiting it out.

·1 year agoGo to your payment source. The risk of being banned has to do with how often you do charge backs...do you do this frequently? If yes, the you risk being smoked
