Given a refund without requesting but really wanted the item
I purchased yesterday morning an Omnibus edition of a book series I had been seeking for a while, and it was a good price with a “buy it now†option. I paid straight away and all was good or so I thought.
However, I have today received an email stating “a refund is on its way†despite me not requesting one and the eBay page is stating it was refunded with a reason code of “other adjustmentâ€.
How or why would this happen and what recourse would I have with this as it has never happened to me before?

·2 years agoNo one here has any idea of what the seller's reason was for cancelling.
Didn't know "adjustment" was an allowable reason for cancellation.
AFAIK you have no recourse. You could try to leave feedback, but not sure it will work since you have been refunded.

Other adjustment is wording used on ebay's U.K. site, which is presumably your home site. How cancelled transactions and refunds are handled in your country may be a bit different than how it is done here on the U.S. based site (ebay.com). I suggest that you use the link below and post your topic/discussion on the U.K. site's community Buying board.
