Gift Cards frozen
got a $50 gift card you put my gift card on hold so I buy another gift card $25 so I can pay auctions I've won. And OMG THE PUT THIS ONE ON HOLD TOO. my only option is spend more time emailing each seller and ask for more time, or another payment. IF I HAD ANOTHER PAYMENT I WOULDNT NEED GIFT CARDS. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UP TO 7 BUSINESS DAYS FOR SOMEONE TO CONTACT ME. THIS IS SO WRONG. I SPOKE WITH A SUPERVISOR I asked who to complain to she said her Jasmine, really I have to complain to her about her?

·3 years agoI am going through all gift cards problems here, and i am not finding that someone experienced the same issue as mine. I had gift cards they were 4 200$ each i attached to my account i was checking out on ebay app from the seller that is reputable and i communicated for awhile nothing gift card related. So the amount was higher than my gift cards. I got balance minus 800$ ( gift cards) and i used my bank account. Now i dont know what really happened if my bank reversed transaction or something… the purchase never happened. I right away checked my bank and the bank transaction was reversed. So i was able to provide proof that my bank released funds and it was reversed back. Now its not big deal. I thought so. Its clearly all proof is there. And i reported within minutes to Ebay, i also uploaded proof of purchase and since transaction went through for a second, the cards were attached to my account. So its clear case the purchase was much higher what my bank have a record, so its no way in the world i could be able to get to the point to click to pay with my bank, if i didnt have those 4 gift cards. So my case is so clear. I dont see why i cant get resolution. Is anyone ever received any communication from gift card team? Is that a scam? Do they even have gift card team? I keep hear the same thing, that gift card will contact you. I mean are all ebay stuff participating in real scam?!

Why did an experienced buyer/seller in the US need to purchase gift cards? How do you usually pay for your eBay purchases? What were you buying?
Your message is confusing. Cannot tell whether or not you were refunded. The thing about gift cards is that they are nonrefundable and nontraceable. In other words, once they're gone, they are GONE.
If there is a problem with gift cards, neither eBay nor your bank can help you.
There is a phone # on the back of the card. Have you called that #?
Please return and clarify exactly what your problem is, what you've done so far and where you stand now.
And, very important, was this actually a purchase ON eBay with an eBay item #? Care to share that #?

·3 years agoWhy on Earth would you buy gift cards to pay for things here? Just use the same payment method you used to buy the cards, to pay here directly....

·3 years agoWouldn't that "twice the feedback" only apply if you had bought the gift cards actually ON eBay? And that would be presuming that the buyer received feedback from both purchases?

·3 years agoOP may buy them in person for cash at CVS, Walgreen's, 7-Eleven, A&P, Albertson's, et al. OP may not have a bank account or a credit card.

If you did a google search for an ebay customer service number, the results are not real ones. The only way to speak to a real ebay customer service rep is to request a call back Using the Contact Us button at the bottom of ebay pages. Unfortunately, they can't help with gift card issues.
Depending on where you buy your ebay gift cards from, the store may not enter transactions immediately. Some to a transaction dump once a day, so if you pay after a certain time, the transaction isn't recorded until the next day. Some do not send transaction info on Sundays. It doesn't matter if you pay for the cards with cash, check, or by card. Before try9ing to pay for items there should be a number or site address on the back of the card that you can get the balance from. Check that first to make sure the card has been activated.
FYI, You buy a lot of items from chinese jewelry/gem sellers. Most of the ones you've bought from have terrible feedback percentages, and lots of neutral and negative feedback. You need to check the feedback profile pages of each seller you intend to buy from before making purchases. You do that by clicking on the number in ( ) to the right of a seller's username. (yours is currently 22) If you do that from the seller information box on a listing page you will be taken to a page that has a few recent feedback, but under that is a See all feedback button, click on it. On the page that opens you can see how many neutral and negative feedback the seller has received you can click on those numbers to read only those comments. eBay's best high volume sellers will have a percentage of 99.6% or better. Any high volume seller with less than a 98.6% rating should be avoided, especially the chinese ones.

·3 years agoDid you try calling the number on the back of the cards? eBay does not sell the cards, they are sold by a 3rd party so you need to call that number and ask if they were activated.
Your Feedback shows that you have bought 34 items in the past month, so this is something new?
Guessing you do not have a checking or credit card attached to your account? Yes, I understand that some people for whatever reason can't, the why's of that are none of our business.
As was said above, you are not contacting eBay, we are other buyers and sellers, not eBay employees.

·3 years agoWhen you use such a large font, it looks like you are screaming at us. No one here works for ebay. We are just regular people. Please state your problem clearer and write in a normal font. I never heard of gift cards on hold too.

·3 years agoYour message is confusing as well as lacking enough information. You bought gift cards to pay for an eBay purchase? And then what happened? If you return, start out by saying something like: "I bought a xxx on xxx and paid with gift cards" and then go from there. Have never heard of gift cards being "on hold" and let me assure you that NO ONE on this Board was responsible for your problem.
