Getting bad seller reported or even better off ebay
I purchased a generator from a seller and never received it yet I did receive tracking for another item going to another person. Seller tried to claim that tracking as tracking for my item. I disputed the purchase with ebay and lost because seller showed the tracking as proof of delivery. I was told by eBay to report the seller so other buyers woukd know what kind of seller they were. Then at sometime eBay went ahead and refunded me. When I went in to report seller it told me I could not do so because I was refunded for my purchase (eBay did the refund not the seller) so how can I report this seller for what they pulled on me and would have gotten away with it if i had not been so pushy with ebay to look further into the details from ups. ? Any ideas for how I can get this info out on the scam they are playing with the tracking??

Just a thought but maybe seller is no longer registered in eBay.

If ebay refunded you chances are they took the money from the seller's account. What you have described is called a fake tracking scam and it happens fairly often. What happen is, the seller sends something an envelope or small box, to an address in a buyer's zip code, which generates a Delivered scan.
If the buyer files an item not received dispute, the tracking number is looked at by a computer that only looks for the scan, because shipper's privacy policies do not allow them access to the address or package info. The dispute shows up just above your purchase history, and there will be an Appeal button in the message saying the dispute was closed.
To win an appeal takes some doing. The best defense a buyer has to to sign up for USPS Informed delivery, - UPS My Choice and FedEx Delivery Manager, free enhanced tracking services. They have information in them a buyer can use to prove they did not receive a package when an appeal is filed.
"so how can I report this seller for what they pulled on me and would have gotten away with it if i had not been so pushy with ebay to look further into the details from ups".
You do not need to report the seller, since ebay refunded you. If you were do a topic search on these boards for Tracking says delivered but I didn't get anything, Fake Tracking, or other similar searches you will find many many topics about the scam. It also happens on other sites as well.
