FRESH FINDS
What are your Opinions, gripes, comments, likes, dislikes, about the new FRESH FINDS that is popping up on your home page?
I mean, people come here to Whine about Offers being sent for listings they only looked at. Cried and Cried about ebay asking them to Resell items they bought 7 years ago. But yet not one Peep about this new FRESH FINDS that I'm sure is popping on others feeds also.
Me. Ehhh. Easy to ignore. BUT, one minor complaint. Majority of the FRESH FINDS ebay keeps putting on my feed involves Women's Clothing. Skirts, Shoes, Belts. Some Kids stuff pops up at times. Kids Shoes, Jackets.
WHY does ebay think I would be interested in that stuff? Majority of my Watched Items are Hot Wheels and Diecast related. I've got a couple of Men's Red Kap shirts saved. But almost all of it is Hot Wheels, Diorama's, Jada, Auto World, Matchbox, so on. I'm not looking at WOMEN'S stuff to set a Cookie to suggest Women's stuff. So why is ebay hitting me up with WOMEN'S crap for my FRESH FINDS interest??
Anybody knows how this works? The algorithm? Just wondering. Ebay can hit me up all they want with HOT WHEELS and DIECAST FRESH FINDS. But they're wasting their time with all this Women's B/S they keep putting on my feed. 😄

·9 months agoWhat is the "home page" you guys are referring to - I don't have any Fresh Finds.

·9 months agoNot everything on ebay is going to be of interest to everyone. Just ignore the parts you don't plan on using. It's really that simple.
Just because FOX News comes with your cable subscription doesn't mean you have to watch it.

OP9 months agoNo, not everything ON ebay is going to be of interest to me. But, if ebay comes up with an ad campaign targeted on your home page to get you more interested in BUYING on ebay, wouldn't it make more sense for the target of that ad campaign to be of interest for the possible BUYER they are targeting? I mean, the way it is set up now, targeting a Buyer whose history on ebay reflects Buying Diecast Cars and Hot Wheels with Women's and Children's clothing, would truly be a waste of time. Right. FRESH FINDS right now is like a Coors Light Sales Rep setting up outside an AA Meeting hall pushing their his product. Girl Scouts selling their Cookies setting up outside a Jenny Craig Facility. Hot Dog Vendor setting up across the street from a group of PETA Protesters protesting outside a Meat Processing Plant. (This HAS happened. Guy on YouTube did it. Funny as Hell Video!!😂) If ebay is going to target me with FRESH FINDS, set up the algorithm to TARGET me with Fresh Finds for stuff I may be interested in. That's advertising 101. Common Sense.
I PAY for my cable subscription so I can watch FOX News. Are you going to answer the question as to HOW this Administration is enacting WAR on US Citizens or not? Or was that just a comment you chose to blow your butt last night with nothing to back it up.

·9 months agoI agree! Sorry, as a heterosexual, comfortable with who I am, I really don't need to see woman's clothes for my "fresh finds". Maybe eBay it trying to make some converts? What the brain trust did is take away the block that showed the items I've just sold. Much more useful to me than dresses.

·9 months ago@hotwheelsbum ,
I have my login set up to not take me directly to My ebay Summary page which is where you see those ads.
I did have to go to My ebay summary page, to see what you're complaining about and all I saw was some low % off coupons for Womens items, An ad for ebay live, which scrolls to show other ads, and an Offers notifications. Maybe Fresh finds shows up on the App, but it doesn't on my computer.
Even with the App You should see above the main search box;
If you just click on My ebay v and select the page you want to view, that page should open without the ads or only just the eBay Live banner.

·9 months agoYea I didn't notice earlier but my home page shows that as well. Fresh Finds, a bunch of women's clothing etc..
If I remember correctly before that block was something to the effect of "other things that might interest you" or some such. Things that at least remotely resembled the things I look for.
I'll just ignore that like the "Live" ads I see if I scroll down to see what's there...........................
