Fraudulent seller - what to do?
Hi,
Is there anything that can be done internally in ebay when a seller refuses to send me a missing part of a purchase that they forgot to add in the package? I started a return but cancelled it after the seller promised to send me the missing piece of the tortilla press. I never received the missing piece I paid for and since I can't start another return case for the same item it seems. What have other people done in similar cases?
Thanks in advance

·2 years agoNever close a case based on a " promise" by a seller to send what they were supposed to in the first place, nor allow a a seller to stall for time to get you past the 30 day window to file a claim.
Having made the mistake of closing your case, you may be out of luck unless your bank can process a chargeback... But moving forward... Don't close an active case unless the dispute is fully resoved.
Hopefully you are able to get help.

OP2 years agoYeah, I'll never make that mistake again.
You may want to familiarize yourself with Community Guidelines of this forum. Naming and shaming isn’t allowed.
Never close a return until you’ve gotten satisfaction. Since you closed the return you would need to open a not as described chargeback with the payment method you used when you made your purchase.

·2 years agoIt will depend on your bank. Some debit cards work like cash. Some give you some of the protections like a credit card. I hope your bank will help. Good luck.

·2 years agoDid you pay for it with a credit card? If you did you can file a claim with them. How did you pay for your item.?

OP2 years agoI paid with a debit card - I'm in the process of filing a fraudulent claim through my bank.
