fraud bidding to artificially markup the price by sellers
this is happening to me as we speak. It reminds me of goodwill. No one interested in an item. You bid, then suddenly ONE person shows up, and bids bids bids..
Well maybe its a person that is interested in your item, right? well the problem is, the person doing the bid bid bidding? Has a MASS amount of canceled bids. In just 30 days? 27 cancelled bids. Ask yourself.. do you do that?
In a year? over 300 cancelled bids.. Ask yourself... do you do that?
over the ebay history, over 7000 bids. ask yourself, do you do that?
over 2500 items bidded on. Have YOU made that many bids? this is clearly a store, selling random things, marking them up, using a difference device with a different IP address. However, EBAY should be able to see if its coming off the same router. Those very very high cancelled bids should be disallowed in the first place. when I cancel a bid, I feel very odd about that, and guilty. Something terrible has to happen for me to cancel a bid. this guy on the other hand does it as if he's ordering a free movie on netflix. If your answer is "call customer support" where is that number? Because even if they find its fraud, the person will just cancel the product, and claim its "sold" already, or mark it as lost or something.

·3 years agoSomething is way off in the bidding every single time for a hundreds of things exactly 25 cents over my bid comes in the last minute the last 20 seconds I don't understand if it's $3.56 the final bit is $3.61 over and over exactly 25 cents how can that be?

·3 years agoThat can be because of the way eBay's proxy bidding system works. You have no idea what the high bidder's actual high bid was, because eBay only uses as much of it as is necessary to be one bid increment above the next highest bid. That bid increment increases as the bidding gets higher, but at the low levels you're talking about the bid increment is 25 cents.
