Fraud
A saddle was purchased through my account which I did not authorize. I tried to cancel the transaction but Ebay makes the seller do it at there end. They said because it was my ID number it was my problem. I wanted to report the sellers to Ebay on the phone so no one else will have this problem they told me they dont do that it was up to me to make the report and directed me to a contact form. Ebay told me I needed to fill the form out for each seller who I thought was fraudulent. I found the same saddle on Ebay site 3 times all with different sellers and pricing. I contacted everyone of the sellers and asked them if it was there saddle. The Saddle is used has same house pics , serial numbers and pad, clearly the same, but addresses and seller ID's . So today was the reason I made the call to Ebay The seller who contacted me which saw my saddle message said that was her listings and they didnt understand why it was posted 3 times I told them I put in a cancel and asked them to please cancel the charge. I have a report into M/C. they emailed me 6x's and asked me to pay again for the saddle after I told her she needed to cancel the first charge and why would I pay for something again I already payed for . I've been an Ebay member for 21yrs. with 100% rating Now no word from anyone

Is the saddle showing up in your purchase history, along with your shipping address?
Since you have escalated this issue to your CC company, this situation is now an entirely moot point as far as ebay is concerned. Any help from ebay, including buyer protection, has been eliminated.

·11 months agoI would lean towards they purchased the saddle themselves. If not what are the odds they left a review several years ago for a saddle pad? Sounds like they accidentally purchased it or purchased it and got cold feet and were upset the item wasn't cancelled in time and are now accusing the seller of being frauds.

Maybe because it has been a long day for me and I am tired, but your post is very confusing. Did you purchase a saddle or not? Please answer this before proceeding. If you did not purchase anything, then apparently someone has access to your account and you should report it to eBay here so they can close it down until things get straightened out:

Look for changes to your shipping address, etc. since crooks typically don't try to scam on your dime and have the merchandise sent to you.
OR
It sounds like you did buy a saddle, then got confused because you saw the same thing for sale with the same pictures by other sellers. Is there a sale when you look in your "purchase history"? If you did buy one, that is the one you bought.
Understand that eBay allows other eBay sellers to copy and use pictures and text from others. Sometimes it is just someone that has a similar item and is too lazy to make their own post. Other times it is a scammer who has nothing. Typically, there are "tells" as to which is which, but writing to all the other sellers is not likely to produce accurate responses if they are scammers.
Which one did you ask to cancel? What is the item number (not order number) that is in your PURCHASES?
Asking to cancel just puts another wrench in the works if you actually bought something. Not a problem if it was not you who bought something.
Since you have now gone to your credit card for redress, they will likely refund you, but it puts an end to any assistance eBay will give you.

Obviously, someone has hacked your account or used your device to make the purchase. The seller was not responsible for the sale it was whoever clicked on the 3 buttons to confirm and pay for the saddle using your account.
The way to deal with this through ebay is to scroll to the bottom of this page look under the Tools & Apps header, and click on the Security Center button. You will want to have handy the 12 digit item number (no hyphens) found under the item title. The order number, and other info that is all in the order details. Since you have already filed a report to M/C you may have taken the refund out of ebay's hands.
You want to report this as an unauthorized use of your account and you will probably have to change your password at the very least.

Go into your banking APP and do a dispute of the charge...and let your bank know of any further problems.

·11 months agoSellers cannot make false purchases on your account. The seller is not at fault. If you did not make the purchases, contact eBay.
