·3 years agoBoth of those entries are the same payment, just different statuses. If you were actually charged twice the eBay transaction number shown would be different for each payment.

·3 years agoCorrect. To the poster, look at your bank account tomorrow. It will be one charge. IF this was done outside of ebay, you will NOT have buyer protection through Ebay if that seller sends you a rock.

·3 years agoThe first transaction shows in-process. Transactions show that way before they've been fully processed. Once the transaction was processed, it converted to the second entry. It's the same transaction. The money only came out of your account once and was then refunded.
I see in-process or pending transactions in my account all the time. Never has that resulted in a double charge.

As a member since 1999, did you not know that you shouldn't take your business off-site, whether as a buyer or a seller?
Call your bank .eBay can’t and won’t help you with transactions done outside eBay. You’ve lost any protection eBay offers.

·3 years agoIt's obvious from his bank info that it was paid through eBay. I think he's just saying the seller wanted to take it outside of eBay, but it was not done that way.
