Four negative Transactions In Four Weeks. A Record? Or a Pattern?
I'll keep this short: Four bad transactions in 4 weeks. One seller never sent item, never responded to messages. Outcome of three other sellers ended in a barrage of messages, one repeatedly begging for money while refusing to send return label, other two in harassing and abusive (I mean ABUSIVE) messages that went on for hours. Yes, hours. Checked their FB and both had done the same to other buyers. Filed reports. Ebay never lifted a finger against these sellers, I got **bleep** info on blocking sellers from CS (you can't) and CS was useless. They just kept repeating boilerplate. Got a lot of **bleep** about reports being filed, escalation teams investigating, etc., nothing EVER happens. Seems to me Ebay has changed, more bad sellers around, Ebay doing NOTHING about the bad sellers. Anyone having similar issues or observations?

·3 years agoWow you really need to vet your sellers before you bid or buy. if a seller has feedback indicating he has problems, most likely you will have a problem with him too.

While contacting a seller about an issue with a transaction, is a good thing to do, if they do not offer an immediate solution, continuing the discussion is fruitless. You just use the Money Back Guarantee (MBG) and file a dispute. The link below gives you a complete list of what to do in various situations and the time frames for taking actions. I suggest saving or book marking it for future use.

One of the seller's you left a negative for who did not ship, had that issue because they had not sold anything in over a year. Because of that ebay placed a hold on the payment you sent, and they probably did not know about the hold or how to deal with it. All they saw was your payment status marked as Pending. To them your messages were probably taken as being from a scammer, who wanted to have the item shipped before it was paid for. Which is probably why they did not respond to you. Since you have never sold on ebay, you probably did not know about ebay's payment holds.
Besides seemingly not having read the terms of the MBG before. You also do not seem to check seller's feedback profile pages before buying from them. You have bought from sellers who had very poor feedback percentages and from out of the country drop shippers.
eBay gives you tools to protect yourself before and after the sale, so do not blame them if you do not use them.

·3 years agoEbay has indeed changed for both it's buyers & sellers
The MBG is the cure for problem transactions for buyers.
Unfortunately the MBG is unable to turn unhappy transactions into happy buying experiences.
Is ebay sufficiently concerned that perhaps more than a few buyers will likely not continue to make purchases after experiencing repeated problem transactions?
The future will provide us the answer.

·3 years agoThere's absolutely no need to contact the seller or even customer service for that matter. EBay's Money Back Guarantee process is fully automated and could have easily solved your issues without all the bleep. It's linked at the top of every listing, or you can read about it here.

·3 years agoYou really don't need to contact your sellers, as the return/refund system is automated. Go to your purchase history. If the estimated delivery date has passed, click on I haven't received it. The seller has 3 business days to provide proof of delivery or refund. If nit, on the 4th day, ask eBay to step in and you will be refunded. You have 30 days to do so.
