Find an item by product ID number
My niece with Downs Syndrome ordered a used coffee maker without permission. The item arrived and doesn't work. The product came in a box with no paperwork. I'd like to look at the listing to see if perhaps she accidently ordered an item that was for parts only or some other reason it doesn't work.
Unfortunately, I don't live near her and my sister (her mother) is disabled and can't give me any information about the listing other than the eBay product ID. I have also asked for my niece's login information. She doesn't know her password. Can I look up the listing only using the product ID?

·5 months agoEvidently you didn't notice it, but you have posted to a thread dated 12/27/23. It will probably be closed soon by the mods.
Furthermore, your issue is not the same as that described in this thread.
Why not start your own thread and give more details? When you post here, you're addressing neither your seller nor eBay. These Boards are staffed by fellow eBayers who volunteer their time here to help others when possible.

·5 months agoOnly your seller could tell you that. You can message them from your Purchase History. If you still need help beyond that, come back and start a new conversation with the details of what is going on and we can try to help.

·2 years agoDon't even bother to contact the seller asking for help. Open a not as described case and seller will have to pay for return shipping, it is all automated.

·2 years agoUnfortunately this can only be done with access to the niece's account.

If the coffee maker wasn't sold for parts you or your sister will have to be able to log into your niece's account to open a return case. So perhaps the best thing to do now is for you or your sister to go through the 'forgot password' process to reset the account password. That will let you find the item in the purchase history to both see the listing and open a case. Hope this all works out!

OP2 years agoI have been trying to get my neice to give me her eBay password. She can't remember the password. I then asked her to give me the password to her email so I could do a Forgot Password.. she also can't remember that password. (It took me about 10 minutes to get her to even find and give me the product ID number.. yes, the struggle is real! ) I was able to trace the product via the product ID code.. it looks like it is supposed to be in good working order.. I have contacted the seller, hopefully he can help me.

·2 years agoIf you mean the eBay item number, yes you can. Click the advanced word just right of the search button. You will then have to search sold/completed items to find it.
